Do you have any evidence that convinced you to think vitamin A is either beneficial or harmful?

RP says to adjust the amount of vit A to the thyroid status, how you metabolize. Too much could interfere with adrenal functions.

Your metabolic rate determines how much vitamin A you need. According to Dr. Ray Peat, the higher your thyroid function the more vitamin A your body needs. On the contrary, if you have low thyroid function using too much vitamin A, can suppress your metabolism further.

If there is a consensus, it is Vitamin A is needed by the body. If there is too much of what is good, it will be bad. Vitamin A is no exception.

Why you are here and there is a here is because many of the members here that used to be in the other forum could not stand the authoritarian insistence of its admin that vitamin A is toxic.

I personally feel eating liver for retinol, or vitamin A, does wonders that eating the precursor of vit A, beta-carotene (as popularly found in carrots) could not do for me.

For eating beef liver once a week for 5 years, my myopia was gone and my driver's license did not require me to wear glasses anymore.
