Wife pregnant after supplementing T3
-
My wife was anovulatory for 2.5 years. The only thing that restored her cycle was 50mcg of T3. She’s now pregnant. I’ve read that T3 can’t cross the placenta and that T4 is necessary, but I’ve also read of women having healthy pregnancies after taking t3 only.
Has anyone had a healthy baby after taking t3 only? I’m very nervous to change her dose but also worried about not adding T4.

Sir Roddy probably has some widely acquired intel on this. Even if there were a charge for a properly focused remote consult, it would probably be worth it for the information and your nerves.
Also congratulations on the miracle!

What is the cost for consult

I'm not sure if it's a memory or an assumption that he does this at all. There's no harm in asking him earnestly, including the subject. He might just talk on the subject for 'free'.

This is wonderful.
To be safe I wouldn’t take more than 4 or 5 mcg per hr, since that’s around the physiological amount.
Not sure about the t4 placenta thing.
Sounds right that t3 only can lead to healthy pregnancies, since a healthy liver converts t4 to t3 anyways so it can be used. Here are some times ray peat answered people’s questions on t3 and t4:

- Your wife's metabolism lacked energy and perhaps useful molecules / nutrients.
No procreation allowed when this is present. Species protection. - Your wife can make her own T4 if she gets the right nutrients for deiodinase enzymes.
- Too much of a good thing is bad if we can't convert T4 to T3 due to a lack.
