On 02/28/26 4chan user made thread on /fit/ board, claiming being a Thorne company employee and saying that supplement manufacturing process involves milling silica gel desiccants that come with raw materials to the final product, with photographic evidence.

I am more worried about the packets being crushed into powder. Silicon is moggy. Unless the nano particles are formed? But I doubt that the milling is doene to the extreme.

@alfredoolivas they probably are just replacing the addition of silicon dioxide step by pulverizing the packets and then making up for the inconsistency within their % margin of error. I'm pretty sure the packets are paper.

in any case, it seems stupid, I wonder why they aren't just fishing the packets out of the raw material. they're a crappy overpriced company, anyways, plenty of good companies run by better people and workers out there.
