@Not_James_Bond
Oh, so you were banned, and I wondered about where you went. The worst fears I had gladly weren't realized. Glad to see you. I wanted to say hi, but I've been low energy lately and do more putting things off than doing lately. My being on bp medication lately had to do with it as I continue to recover from my heart failure incident. It's a bitter pill to swallow but I'm working to wean myself from them still. Solving high bp that is outside metabolic causes is a solo flight, and one bioenergetics is ill-suited to address.

@CO3 Still have the symptoms of SAD
Sad for Spain and its inhabitants but happy for you
-
@yerrag Well, Ray Peat Right Again! He was prescient about where the RPF would go. And it had to run its course to its miserable conclusion.
Well yeah, I stood up to him. I don't know why everybody didn't put him in a corner and pee on him. (figuratively)
I'd like to beat him up. Sorry. He brings out my irish.I am not surprised about him doing podcasts with Georgi and Danny. He was always able to sort through and discern value.
I miss those synergystic times. Priceless!
-
Aside from the mental illness angle, does anyone else suspect there may be some monetary motivations behind all of this?
Someone had posted a screenshot of Garrett's twitter, where he had in turn posted a screen shot of RPF with all the yellow 'low toxin' buttons overwhelming the page and made a comment to the extent of "Low VA theory, infecting the Ray Peat Forum!"
Could Charlie have some sort of "deal" with Garrett in an attempt to spread his rhetoric? Ultimately landing folks on Garrett's doorstep, cuz after all, doesn't he charge for consultation, advice, membership?
It's so bizarre because you have this core group of maybe less than 6-8 peeps who are constantly running this stuff all over the forum. Even Charlie will comment in on another thread that has nothing to do with VA, but will chime in anyways about low VA being the cure for 'literally' everything!
And that's another thing that just grinds my gears!
No one sounds more unintelligent than a dimwit using the word literally as an intensifier! There is plenty of debate here, apologies if you do that, but please stop! Unfortunately it is all too common in the English language, but it is incorrect! Sue me!
Charlie and ChristAlone use that word constantly in their low VA droppings. Are they related? Married? I feel like there is some sort of connection there. Maybe just the same person?
"Literally, because of Garrett Smith and the Low A community, I have literally learned that toxic bile theory is literally the key to health, and a low VA diet cures literally everything!... Literally!"
Anyways, everything seemed to happen quite suddenly, gotta be something more to it. I had a friend who did lots of dietary restrictions, vegan, fastings, questionable substances as well, and now his mental state is wildly different in personality, beliefs, etc.
Oh well! Rant over for now.

@Luke said in New "Mission" of RPF:
Timpone once asked him in an interview about something he read (quote) "on your forum". Peat didn't respond to "your forum", but maybe he just didn't get it acoustically.
If Timpone thought it was "his" forum, he probably wasn't the only one. That's why I fear that Charlie and his disciples are now dragging Ray's name into the mud with them.
Yes, it seemed that Ray was too busy keeping up with researching and writing his newsletter. His mojo would be wrecked dealing with just one annoyance for to start with one he may be inclined to deal with all and as it were, he found it necessary to reduce his newsletter writing output in his last years from every 2 months to every quarter.
For me, his last newsletters had a different direction to it. He was more into connecting the dots of his previous research and newsletters, rather than to dig new sources for material, as that is very taxing in his age. I was able to see that at work as I had less connecting of dots to do. I wished he had stayed longer, as I think connecting the dots is a more personally rewarding activity.

Yeah. I miss especially being able to write him and ask him why, in his latest newsletter at the time, he would state a certain cause and effect relationship exists. As he often leaves the why hanging. But he would answer it (sometimes I will ask someone else to ask if he doesn't answer me back). I can understand why he does that. There are many reasons. But I think he does that mainly to tease our minds and to make us think. And as a good teacher, he likes to develop that in his students. Maybe like a true guru would. But I always fail that and had to write him. Now that he's gone, I feel orphaned.
-
@yerrag Orphaned. Exactly!
A ronin.
-
@AkJono This is what they all do... start off speaking some sense and then gradually go off the deep end dragging you with them. He’s being paid to deliberately make the alternative health movement look insane.
-
@Peoples I def think he has multiple accounts but Christalone is someone else, she used to post as Sugarbabe and was there since the beginning. She never used to be under this religious delusion either.
I think someone is incentivizing him but not Garrett, it seems more sinister than that and it’s tied into his messiah complex instead of purely for monetary gain. Garrett is probably being paid by the same entity.
-
@Peoples I think there is definitely a financial aspect to it. Ray is dead and there is no authority to challenge them so the toxic bile crew infects (his wording) a substantial outlet of information with a healthy user base. The move was so sudden and so swift that it does make me think that it was planned and coordinated. The accounts that came up out of the woodwork and the barrage of bans during the 2-3 day push a few weeks ago were awfully suspicious. From what I understand charlie is in major financial trouble and Garret has the physiognomy of a con man, so the pairing was natural.
-
@sphenoid @ilovethesea
Yes some days back I said to my wife re Lion at RPF that he was a timed-release deep state agent! I was not only 1/2 joking. Then someone posted there the same sentiment. Can't fool all the people.Also of some interest is that I checked in 2 or 3 days ago, in the morning here in Aus, and signed in to RPF, and when on a thread that the lion was on, a number of Toxic-Bile Acolytes had the words "Gifted Membership" below their names to the left of Thread by the date of their inception. Hmmmm. Gifted by whom? Bill and Melinda G Foundation? It disappeared a few hours later. Strange days indeed.
To zoom out a bit : this is happening in many groups lately, both virtual and physical, and it seems that either the leader or 'bosses' go crazy in a different direction, Or it gets into some (real or imagined) scandal, be it financial or xxx, etc. . , or just the usual woke climate change,LGBTQ+ type orientation, which leads to nowhere.

@AkJono Whoa. Gifted Membership. Holy sheesh.
Oh you were really prescient.
-
-
@ilovethesea Agreed, a-hole indeed
-
@ilovethesea If ChristAlone was Sugarbabe, then she has been on the low VA theory for atleast the past 5 years.
She ragged on me for taking vitamin A to treat night blindness in a post description as far back as about 2018-2019.

@sphenoid said in New "Mission" of RPF:

What is this 'financial trouble?'
Does he run the health products store that is always advertised on top and bottom of the forum?
Is it The Life Giving Store? If so, I bought a red light pod from there years ago, lol.
I only recently learned Charlie has a store somehow tied to the forum.
-
@Peoples I think he’s in debt from dogecoin.
But another thing I was thinking is how all of this happened right in the middle of winter (northern hemisphere), when vitamin A requirements are at their lowest. Seems like this could be by design so people try the low A diet and feel better, because there is little sun and they’ve likely burned through their vitamin D stores. The hope then being these people fall for the diet and supplements hook line and sinker, welcoming the “new age” of the forum. At the same time this could be coincidence as everyone involved is an idiot but the whole operation appears planned and calculated.
-
@ilovethesea by his logic we should wait and not do anything until we know for sure what we will be doing will allow us to live to 120. Garret smith looks like he’s approaching 100 but as far as I know there aren’t any health gurus that are anywhere close to that age.
-
@Peoples But she still eats ice cream.
-
@yerrag this is an incredible articulation! So much of what Ray has said has been lost in translation(i.e. RPF). There's so many "secondary" and "tertiary" Ray acolytes or so they think. This reminds me of my sister in law who came across some of Ray's ideas through other so called health gurus. I began to ask her more of what they were feeding her and it became obvious that they really haven't read Ray and seem to only been soundbyte pirates.
After 8 years of reading Ray and emailing him during a portion of those years, I hardly feel like I have strong grasp. His knowledge was a certain level of mastery. I still enjoy reading his articles and listening to his emails as I gleam new information and think differently almost every time I come across it.
-
@ilovethesea I'd really like to see Charlie's blood work along with Garret Smith
-
@jwayne there's literally nothing on that forum that remotely represents Peat. I created a new user name and paid for the subscriptions. I haven't been allowed access to post.
-
@risingfire Whaaaaaat? You can't post?
-
@S-Holmes no and I'm paying. I think he may know it's me. Also, I saw your post saying Garrett looks hypo. That made me giggle. You're going to be banned soon for that!
-
@risingfire No 'New' members can, ain't that a cheek tho!
-
@risingfire That's just wrong! What does he charge?
-
@Not_James_Bond 🤯
-
@S-Holmes $7.00 Month or $77.00 Yearly
-
@Not_James_Bond
Dr. P would be apalled. He believed health information should be free to everyone. In fact, as I recall, the fees for his books (I have them all) and newsletter just covered his costs. Just one more breach of his legacy. -
I have to admit i am very concerned with the new direction that the RPF has taken. It seems to me to be almost cult like now with the anti-vitamin A movement.
-
@Verdad The new and "improved" RP Forum:
-
@ilovethesea This is just a logically absurd statement on so many levels. Ray peat actually lived 9 years longer than the average male lifespan in the US and even if he did not there are many variables that influence lifespan. You can have the "perfect diet" and still not live past 70 or you could have a relatively poor diet and live a lot longer.
I pointed out to them that many people who eat "toxic dairy" as they now call it live well over 100 and that those in the so called "blue zones" regularly eat dairy but no this has become true cult like mentality. All evidence to be ignored, and just plow on with the anti vitamin A and now basically anti ray peat movement.
They don't sound any different to me than the vegans or the carnivore diet or any diet that refuses to take on evidence. Really depressing because it has been such a good source of knowledge for me over the years.
-
@S-Holmes haha it really does seem like it has reached that status. Charlie claiming that the anti-vitamin A movement is part of the great awakening. Next he is going to say that if you eat low vitamin A you will be part of the rapture. It really is sounding absurd.
-
-
@Charlie just posted a new thread and he really seems to have gone off the deep end to me. It really is a shame.
title; "THE TOXIC RAY PEAT DIET & LIFESTYLE IS KEEPING MANY IN CAPTIVITY...RAY PEAT NEVER OFFERED A WAY OUT"
All this terminology just sounds very cult like to me. It is the same kind of terminology they all use....we will free you of XYZ if you follow us you will be awakened and better than ever.
Here is a link if anyone wants to read the post. It really seems like he has abandoned all reason and logic https://raypeatforum.com/community/threads/the-toxic-ray-peat-diet-lifestyle-is-keeping-many-in-captivity-ray-peat-never-offered-a-way-out.52612/

More evidence this is a coordinated attack. I found on Ray Peat Reddit there are a couple threads about RPF imploding.
https://www.reddit.com/r/raypeat/comments/1atv75d/ray_peat_forum_gone_completely_mental/
https://www.reddit.com/r/raypeat/comments/1at4clu/what_is_going_on_with_the_ray_peat_forum/
There is one user https://www.reddit.com/user/Sweaty-Program-3322/ all over them crusading for low vit A and that “Ray Peat’s ideas don’t work”
That person is obviously a plant. No legit organic movement would have people like this coming out of the woodwork at the same time on multiple forums. Do they think we’re really this stupid??
-
@Peoples Don’t know anything about his finances but yes it’s Life Giving Store. For anyone who relies on it for thyroid I saw someone on Twitter recommend this store as a good alternative https://shop.forefronthealth.com/
-
@sphenoid according to this Garrett is only mid 40s! https://twitter.com/8888chrome8888/status/1759422149427712407/photo/1
-
-
@Verdad Who needs thyroid when you have adrenaline and cortisol?
-
-
@ilovethesea I saw the reddit post, the user is either an obvious plant or insane. I'd believe either. And I would have guessed mr. smith is in his later 50s early 60s. I understand changing lifestyles later in your may not fully change your facial structure but I mean at least your skin and eyes and hair may be healthy. I have a hard time seeing how he started off any worse, especially compared to the average person who eats slop.

New Charlie's post :
He is getting debunked severly
-
@sphenoid He has exactly the same claims as Charlie and the same religious beliefs in terms of food, the same terms such as "the Magic 5" to talk about minerals, it's probably Charlie or someone who memorized Charlie's unbased arguments

@Truth Good, it's deserved.
