@IkeIkeforever It depends on the vitamin and your current levels. The best way to get Vitamin D is to get proper sunlight exposure (or to use a reptile lamp). The second best way would be to supplement with a clean brand like NOW. Taking vitamin k along with vitamin D is also helpful. I would also be concerned about most vitamin C, as it's made with black-mold derived citric acid rather than natural sources.

If you're drinking plenty of milk, orange juice, fruit, dairy, beef, etc, I doubt you're particularly vitamin deficient. Eating oysters or liver 1-2x a week can help. One way to determine if your problems are the result of a vitamin deficiency is to eat oysters on consecutive days and see if your problem gets better or worse.

@brad I live in a cloudy part of my country, I go outside a lot but sadly, the sun isn't always there and it may impact the exposure I could have to vitamin D...I think my problem may come from there

I'll see if I can find oysters that aren't expensive in my area

@IkeIkeforever Canned oysters are relatively inexpensive and easier to find in grocery stores and online. Just make sure they're not in seed oil (olive oil is ok, but drain it first).

Hey all, just came here to report my "progress"

First of all, I finally tried the carrot salad with coconut oil, and I have to say that I never tasted food like that...it may sounds like I'm exaggerating, but it's so simple and tastes so different from what I usually eat in a normal day. I ended up adding a really little touch of honey into the mix, and it tasted even better than normal

Second thing, I started smoking based on the recommandations of my father : he and I kind of have the same skin, and he said to me that the cure to his pimple problem was tobacco...I was really dubitative at first, but I had to try it, because I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get rid of my problem.

And I have to say that...it works..? Or at least it feels like it ? Been 2 days since I started smoking, and I noticed that the pimples are smaller, don't itch anymore, and some already started to "disappear" (of course leaving a scar/mark behind them, but that's another problem)

Is there any reason on why smoking "cures" this ? It may be way too early to call it a cure, but I was really impressed at how effective it looks. Will keep you guys updated on this one

            Have a nice day everyone

@IkeIkeforever Niacinamide. Needless to say it's likely better to find a good source of that either dietary or supplement as smoking is unhealthy, It definitely has its benefits though. Nicotine is essentially the same as niacinamide/ B3, and people use that for their skin very effectively, topically.

@CO3 Wow thanks for the info ! I'm not a heavy smoker, I smoke like 1-2 cigarettes per day ? And I don't smoke everyday, so I guess it should be fine. I'll definitely stop when I will be able to fully enter a peaty diet.

A little update for everyone : coconut oil really helps my skin to look and be better ! A whole area on my back that was precedently full of pimples is now almost clear of them ! I have to say that I'm really impressed. Been using it to cook and as an asseasonment in almost all of my meals, and I really feel the difference 👏

I'll try to apply it topically, maybe mixed with some olive oil as per recommended by a neighbourg of mine 🤔

                  For the nasty part :

The pimples that are still there looks like they're "blooming"...it's pretty disgusting, I will NOT share any photos (except maybe if someone is interested), it itches, even hurts a little, but the ones that "bloomed" in the last 3 days calmed down and disappeared. Kind of scared that they will all leave scars, but I prefer to have scars than disgusting pimples.

                  Have a nice day everyone

Hey everyone, it's been a while, hope you're all doing great

Acne finally started to calm down ! I started taking 5000 UI of vitamin D every day, and ate a lot of cheese, and it's really promising !

The pimples no longer bloom as I said before, now they're much more smaller, don't itch, and an area near my shoulder blade is completely free of acne !

Of course there is still a lot to do, but for me, it seems that eating a lot of cheese, taking a vitamin D supplementation and consuming large amounts of coconut oil is really beneficial for my skin.

My face isn't full of acne anymore, still have some white pimples that appear here and there but other than that, nothing !

The problem that is starting to dawn on me is probably the scars that the pimples will leave on my skin.

                      Have a nice day everyone

@Kvirion Thanks for the answer !

Didn't know that, it may sound stupid but I often eat little gummy bears as a yummy treat/quick energy boost when I have to do something but I feel too lazy to do it...they're made with pork gelatin if I remember correctly, so I don't know if it's a "good" gelatin to take for a schizoid disorder.

@IkeIkeforever Gummy bears are a good idea if they are without artificial additives/preservatives.

The grass-fed beef gelatin is the best. Bone broth is a viable alternative. And still, pork gelatin is better than nothing...

BTW aminoacids like taurine and theanine also have calming properties.
