there's also environmental things, like dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, cleaning products, mold in walls, emf. etc etc. So it's hard to say.
A deficiency of a B vitamin can be the culprit too. Trying a clean powder can be a way to try and check that option

@raytreats try baking soda as toothpaste. arm and hammer is the finest grain and isn't too abrasive

You might try switching it out and see if it is irritating you. Sometimes they change ingredients. I find baking soda directly on teeth to make my teeth sensitive so I dissolve some in water and brush with that, swish the solution around my mouth to rinse.
Some of these other ideas are good. I hadn't thought of fungal, and baking soda might help a little if it is that.

@C-Mex thank you, that's really reassuring. Earlier today after having an espresso it started to flare up and my mouth became very dry. Since then I've been drinking water and my mouth now feels pretty much back to normal. I think stress also elevates it. I don't doubt it could be a fungal infection of some kind.. I'll look into flowers of sulphur.

@C-Mex I'll try baking soda. I was taking it before bed dissolved in water to help with sleep the other week. Maybe my body is sensitive to acid right now.. and I know baking soda alkalizes the bloodstream a bit.

@raytreats An espresso? definitely sounds adrenalin related. Not that that rules out ther things. but definitely have sugared cappuccinos instead if you like them

Chamomile tea dries my mouth to the point that the dryness wakes me from my sleep.

I was also thinking that it could be some sort of acid-reflux if you are having things like espresso without milk or food, which can be exacerbated by stress. I remember years ago I was having something like that and it was leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Let us know how it goes.

Hi all, just to follow up, I'm happy to say the dry mouth has went away, and the inside of my cheeks feel smooth and well lubricated again. I started taking Thiamine (Thiamax) along with a B-complex vitamin for the past few days and my symptoms are now totally gone.
I can't say with 100% certainty that Vitamin B deficiency is what was causing this, although it's likely. I spent the weekend without drinking any espresso, and only drinking cafe bought coffee with milk and sugar. Today I'm resuming the espresso and will follow up if this feeling comes back.
I think I also have been a bit under nourished lately which has been putting stress on my body. I'm trying to lose 10-15 pounds, and have significantly reduced my caloric intake, having only about 2 meals per day along with generous orange juice intake. I've come to the conclusion that how much I'm eating is probably not enough. I'm 6'2 and roughly 215-220 pounds.

Wow, that's great. Just coincidentally, I've been doing about 300 mg of Thiamine/day and I do feel some extra energy and some nagging neuromuscular issues seem to be slowly resolving. I decided to try this after reading someone's post stating that they had some similar issues resolve with B1. Amazing stuff!

@raytreats Awesome! I think more broadly it was stress hormones causing this, hence the spike when you drank espressos without milk or sugar. But this can have been caused by the deficiency! So not to say that isn't a perfect solution. Try to avoid additives in your supplements. Glad you solved it.
