Ray doesn't like too much iron.

I don't agree with this. In the past I've experienced anemia symptoms that resolved when I ate more iron rich foods (meat and blackstrap molasses) so I have no interest in reducing iron.

      What do you think?

@insufferable I'm not sure what in that article is so controversial. All he's suggesting is our modern food supply is unnaturally high in iron due to fortification. And that anemia caused by actual iron deficiency is rare. If red blood cells breakdown more easily as we age then iron won't help anyways. We need more vitamin C and glycine to maintain blood cell integrity.

How many normies are eating oysters and beef liver? Not too many. A lack of copper combined with excessive fortified foods (most foods normie's eat) will lead to the accumulation of iron. It also doesn't help that most normie's biggest source of vitamin E is from PUFA laden nuts.

The food fortification program is adding the wrong type of iron to the food supply. They are adding metallic iron filings.

I’ve been reading that it’s important for the thyroid and how people with too low ferritin don’t respond well to thyroid treatments.
