Any peaters using squash as their main (or a regular) source of carbs? If so, how's it going?

Watch out for carotene toxicity. I don’t think it’s wise to have it as a daily staple.

How many do you eat? 3.5 pounds (1,600 grams) of zucchini only has 33 grams of net carbohydrate. I prefer to treat zucchini as a vegetable than a fuel source.

Yeah, if you're low thyroid carotene can be problematic (which is why I wouldn't consider any squash to be "ideal"). But if your thyroid is good a modest amount won't hurt you.

IDK I'm not some nerd eating with a calculator next to me. if i had to guess i eat 2kg of zucchini at a time. i mean again i'm not autistic, it's 90 percent water so my normal European brain automatically perceives that i need to eat more to be satiated.

that would be a meal providing you with like 70 grams of carbs according to google.. as another meal on the same day i will put like 2 zucchinis in some master broth, and have a bunch of dates and tamarind with that.

what does 'i treat it as a vegetable, not as fuel' even mean? what? are you OK? Do you need help?

i hate you for making me interact with food in this stupid way,

'omg whats the macros' 'look at my cronometer stats'

                        SHUT THE FUCK UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@CO3 Eating it as a "vegetable" means I eat it for it's micronutrients, fiber, good Ca/P ratio, and, in general, as good filler food. Most vegetables, or fruits eaten like vegetables (i.e squash), are superior to grains, bread, and legumes for these reasons. If I have a choice to eat meat with bread, or meat with zucchini, I'd choose the latter and just add a mexicoke or something for my carbohydrate.

Contrarily I used "fuel source" as slang for anything (vegetable or fruit) that provides substantial net carbs (non-fiber carbs). Starchy tubers, winter squash, and most fruits come to mind.

You must not have a lot of experience talking to bodybuilders, me asking how much food you eat is softcore compared to what those dudes would ask you. Regardless, you clearly got anger issues over nothing. Take a aspirin or something, chill the fuck out.

@CO3 We come from different roots I suppose. Nevertheless, I feel I should state while some may put aesthetics over health, and therefore take a turn to the "dark side" (i.e gear use, "death wish," what have you), to just generalize and say all bodybuilders have a death wish is preposterous. Have greater lean mass is correlated to overall longer life. Lifting heavy weights is generally the best exercise one can do...if they're going to exercise. Long slow walks are good, but I'm not sure I'd classify that as exercise per se. Marathon runners, different story. Most of them age worse than cigarette smokers. I digress, but you get my point.
