Is the rumour that Raymond Peat was Stalin friendly true or not?

Is this just a false rumour or is it true that he liked Stalin? And if he did , then why ?

Yeah, Peat had some very odd far left type political views. You get the idea pretty quick just listening to him spout off about philosophy, he has some very strange views on nature and other things.

Idk if you linked the same thread I’m thinking of, he picked up the work of essentially a Stalin-crime-denialist, whose political take was that Stalin was fighting western hegemony. Another version of the new world order conspiracy theory. I have no problem with it even if I disagree — He doesn’t approve of any communist/stalinist atrocities.
