Would buying cheap beef gelatin powder in bulk be problematic because of endotoxins?
Ive found this source which mentions the powder is made from hydrolized cow hides not bones

      Opinion?

Try to buy one with certificate, not the cheapest but at an interesting price. If you buy the lowest, without guarantee, you throw your money out. Or Make your own collagen bone broth.
You can buy powder from Amazon. A well-known vendor of gelatin is purebulk.com.

I can buy beef tendons that have been well processed such that it is all white and transparent. It steams well into a clear gelatin that can also be used as jello. Costs me $7/kg wet and assuming 75% moisture, translates to $28/kg dry. I consume this in 2 months.

Beef tendons are best IMHO because it is free from any endotoxins.

Buying gelatin is fraught with uncertainty as to sourcing, as you have to trust the word of the processor/manufacturer. And you can trust no one you don't know.
