I'm very confident I've switched from fat metabolism to glucose metabolism. However, this change has been accompanied by a considerable drop in temperature. Should I just be eating loads of carbs till my temperature is higher?

How do you make the determination that you've switched?

What do you mean you've switched? Do you mean from 100% fat to 100% carb metabolism?

@RandomUser My pee went from having a LOT of bubbles to having none through eating loads of gelatin. So I assume lipolysis has shut down.

personally I would eat balanced macros vs carb loading.

40/30/0 cpf should give you steady good temps

Thanks. It's not how I would go about making that determination, though I would be interested in knowing your basis for using urine bubbles as basis.

It's been mentioned many times by Georgi if I'm not mistaken, and I'd agree it's not perfect measure but is good enough. And does line up with my experience. Gelatin does drastically increase glucose utilization, the fact that my urine changed almost immediately after eating high doses... I think it's a safe assumption. Although I'm open to being wrong.

It was meant to read 40/30/30
                    Or even 50/25/25

                    Best to you

I don't know what haidut said about gelatin being able to cause a shift in the dominant metabolic pathway moving from fatty acid-based to sugar-based. I used to be very active in following him, but I haven't followed many people for quite a while.

A lot of what we eat certainly has an effect, directly or indirectly, on our health, as our body is an integrated whole that at its best, runs on a virtuous cycle, and at its worst, on a vicious cycle. At the start, it was hard for me to relate in these terms. But now, I can see some of that dynamic at work. Which is why I can't simply argue against your observation and conclusion that eating lots of gelatin would lead to your dominant metabolic pathway shifting.

I listened to the YouTube link you provided. In it, Ray talked about the stress of darkness causing urinary foaming because of cortisol and fatty acids being released and making the liver attach glucoronic acid and sulfur to fatty acids in order to make it water soluble. But, that statement does not lead me to conclude that our body has shifted from fatty acid oxidation as the dominant metabolic pathway to sugar mitochondrial oxidation just because the urine foaming has stopped.

Even if that were valid, I think you will know later if your conclusion was premature and that you jumped the gun. This happens quite often, and I had been guilty of that myself.

How much carbohydrate are you getting?

I think 350 gram carbohydrate is a good minimum amount , but more carbohydrate is even better
