Also Peat said he would make sure to wash his hands well when getting oil on his hands making oil paints.

This is why I use the artisan hand soaps made of goat milk and coconut oil

I'm shocked and angry with myself for not thinking.

Back in the Covid days, when still on keto, I fell for the advertising hype that essential oils were good for almost everything.

I chose wheat germ oil as a carrier oil because it’s high in vitamin E and I’ve been using it ever since. And it actually works for me - it is able to cool down my rashes for a while.

What do you guys use for rashes?

Is there any such thing as an anti-estrogenic essential oil? Or anti-histaminic?

One has to be constantly careful. I googled a recipe for such a soap, and it includes palm, sunflower and castor oil. Plus “essential oils as desired”.

But I've found a soup on Amazon with only goat and coconut.

I use coconut oil for body moisturizing. Eczema symptoms gave gone down a lot but not completely eliminated. Still the best effect I've gotten from anything else I've tried.

                  OMG!
From this paper in Discussion: "It has been claimed that there is " immediate absorption " of E.F.A.s when applied to mammalian skin...It thus seems that linoleic acid is more efficiently utilised when applied to the skin than when given orally or intravenously. Rats fed linoleic acid oxidise about 60% immediately, presumably in the liver, so that one possible explanation for this greater efficiency would be if linoleic acid applied to the skin were incorporated directly into circulating lipoproteins without first going through the liver."

                  # Note on oil application method:
"sunflower-seed oil, whose fatty-acid composition is shown in table 11, was applied to the flexor surface of one forearm and rubbed in. About 230 mg. of oil, containing 120 mg. of linoleic acid, was applied daily throughout the experimental period."

My conclusion is that all kinds of Fatty Acids, no matter how saturated, are absorbed through the skin by passive diffusion. The younger and thinner-skinned you are... the easier ...

The Peat comment about oil painting makes sense to me now. I must soon begin reading him A-Z 😺

Coconut oil has helped heal cuts, dry skin, minor rashes. I think it's really good.

I use beef tallow designed for skin use on my belly close to liver and drop 2-3 drops of Eucalyptus E oil on it and rub in every night before bed.
“Eucalyptus essential oil: Not a tea, but can be a helpful tool. While I tend to stay away from many essential oils, some can be helpful and eucalyptus is one of them. Eucalyptus oil can stop mast cell degranulation, lower edema, and make allergies less severe. In a mice study, when a tiny amount of eucalyptus oil was applied to the skin, it systemically reduced allergy severity.
                        Rosemary essential oil
contains similar compounds and has a similar effect. You can put these oils in an oil diffuser or a bowl full of water and inhale the steam, as in the photo below, or try putting one drop dissolved in olive oil on your skin.”

                        Kaya writes great helpful articles.

Just use a salt crystal or baking soda for deodorant. Coconut oil “clean” deodorants gave me rashes every summer for a few years until I finally woke up to the idea that “healthy things” might not be good for you!
                        Peace!

@dapose This is a good point, for example coconut oil is comedogenic for some people and can cause acne if used on the face (for some no problems at all). It's really important to be aware of how your body reacts to things personally.

                          Edit:
Also wasn't previously aware prior to this thread that Lavender was estrogenic. I still have some epsom that has lavender in it but I figure I can dilute it with regular until it is used up and then not buy it again.
