Been trying it for a couple days with the needed cofactors and it doesn't seem to have changed anything, should I continue?

Don't do this; I've just found out iodine has a high chance of being harmful to Leydig cells at advised dosages

I don't know if this applies to topical iodine too, but I've recently learned that excess iodine in the diet can cause hypothyroidism (and thus lower testosterone)

I've posted info on excess iodine here: https://bioenergetic.forum/topic/3760/bloodwork-shows-elevated-tpoab-hashimoto-s-disease/2?_=1737939914830

Can't comment much on "this iodine protocol".

I've actually had a lot of success with using topical povidone iodine as an antifungal treatment for ringworm and toenails.

I know that it's generally advised against increasing iodine too much on this forum, but I've personally had some amazingly good moods from consuming seaweed (in olive oil), which has somewhat high levels of iodine. Perhaps this was the result of a deficiency at the time. Part of me thinks that a background in swimming and being a lifeguard caused some chlorine buildup in the thyroid which was "dislodged" by iodine intake, but this is really just wild conjecture.

@samson I already warned in my first comment not to do this. I just wanted to hear opinions on why someone might have thought this is a good idea

@Rah1woot Appreciate your comment. The chloride may have been stored throughout the body ( not only the thyorid), and the iodine could have expelled it like you said

@William-Shat I'd say no need to take such high doses of iodine, especially if you don't see any benefit.
