      Iron 38.4 umol/L 11-28 R

      Transferrin 1.69 g/L 2.00-3.60 R

      Transferrin Sat. Index 91 % A

In patients not receiving iron supplements, TSAT >40% (females) or

50% (males) may suggest iron overload. TSAT <16% may suggest iron

      deficiency.

Iron MUST be measured in the fasting state

Thats was my text from the doc

Also got my results back when i got tested for hemochromatosis HFE genotyping results from 23/7/2012

      ......... See comment:

      C282Y Homozygous (YY)

      H63D Negative (HH)

      S65C Negative (SS)

      Symptomatic No

      HFEG Comment:

This individual is homozygous for the C282Y mutation and may

be at risk of developing iron overload. If the iron status

is normal at present it may be advisable to monitor the

transferrin saturation and serum ferritin concentration at

yearly intervals in order to detect any iron accumulation.
