Dismantling Charlie's words and deeds on the "raypeat "forum and here

Charlie's current behavior seems to indicate too much estrogen and too much serotonin, etc. "Low VA diet" failed him...
-
@Kvirion Hi,
Making claims in a sensationalist manner, and/or exaggerated claims with a disparity between those claims and reality can be a common phenomenon when people have a suboptimal degree of energy, and their primary interest is trying to influence others for their own benefit in terms of "self-esteem", "recognition from others", "feeling of power" and potentially receiving money from others, rather than others well being
Of the few people I've seen commenting that they eat a diet of mainly rice and muscle meat, this is a fairly common phenomenon
-
@Kvirion Seems more and more to be intolerant of opposing views, even when they are respectful.
He also doesn't seem to even 'consider' an alternate view/s without immediately replying with (sometimes) nonsense. -
This degree of idiocy is inherently taunting.

Well, I'm glad you are here. Yeah, that's why I didn't read his contract to get back in. It would be a malign hoover if I dared speak anything close to my mind.
Thanks! I'm glad you made it over here too. Witnessing the destruction of that place where I spent time (a LOT of it) for 10+ years was somewhat traumatic.
There was a "contract to get back in"? I missed that entirely. Oh, well... I wouldn't have read it either.
I tried to watch a Garrett Smith video to better understand Charlie's obsession, but Smith's dogmatic angry delivery was a turn off so I turned him off.
After thinking about it, it seems to me that I'm pretty sensitive to carotene/vegetable vitamin A and I've instinctively avoided it for a very long time (8-9 years). I had to soak/rinse/squeeze dry my shredded carrots in order to successfully eat them. But I'd never tell Charlie that.

Yep. Best to vacate and let them stew alone.
-
@Not_James_Bond and @Truth Can't agree more with you guys.
Charlie seems to be in deep trouble... and he's probably not aware of this...But still sad to watch how RPF is becoming the opposite of what it was before...

It is galling to see Ray Peat's name used for such ridiculous drivel. Charlie needs to change the name of the forum.
-
@mostlylurking Yeah, how about Low Toxin Forum, or Toxic Bile Forum, would be more honest reflection of recent weeks.

Yes, definitely. Charli's attitude is all against Ray's in-depth, systemic, systematic, holistic, contextual wisdom and his respectful generous approach.
Are there any other RPF admins or influential members who have enough power to change this? Or are there any other means?

I doubt it. Even if Peat's family were to try to fight it, that forum has used Peat's name for so long I don't think they could be successful. Lawyers are really expensive. But a Cease and Desist letter for trademark infringement in legaleze might prove helpful. But I doubt Ray Peat ever trademarked his name.
The folks over on reddit did seem to get the guilty party's attention via harassment, but other than ruffling a few feathers, nothing has changed. If anything, it just renforced Charlie's crusade mentality.

@Kvirion I got banned for saying this lol
-
@mostlylurking I saw your first ban and couldn’t believe it... didn’t realize he did it twice! How is everybody who is still over there seeing the insanity and saying nothing? He’s acting like an out of control tyrant. I don’t think he’s going to lift mine at all because I was too critical. I’m just mad because of some private messages I’ll lose touch with. Hopefully those people find their way here.
-
@Regina Yes love the big show of unbanning his star member Georgi, then continues on his banning rampage for the rest of us little people. I admit I lost respect for Georgi for not taking a stand on that or on Mercola.
-
@saturnuscv It's unfortunate, that you got banned.
Our "Lion King" Charlie is getting more and more out of sanity...
-
@mostlylurking Traumatizing for me too, I was also there 10 years!
When I got the ban I made a comment that Ray’s work helped me and still does, since everyone was piling on that he destroyed their health. That Christ lady responded “did it though?” mentioning the B1 stuff. So now we’re supposed to throw the baby out with the bathwater! It’s like these people saw Ray as a God and now want to tear him down because they didn’t get the results they expected.

Yep, he did it twice. After about three days, he lifted the ban but there was no notification; it was just gone and I was automatically logged in so I checked my private messages and someone had sent me info and a link about thiamine both increasing AND decreasing acetylcholine (in other words, thiamine "modulates" acetylcholine) and I never got to respond to them and I lost that link to the study. Sob. So give it a few days; he may simply unblock you without notifying you.
I suspect there's some serious Stockholm Syndrome going on over there. How could there not be?
Charlie jumped the shark.

I sneaked over there and read that thread. I didn't really get what Christ Lady's point was. Ray Peat recommended thiamine (B1) many times. I don't get what she was trying to say at all.
I suspect that many of the people who were disappointed in Ray Peat never actually studied Peat's articles or listened to his interviews on Politics & Science (those are the best). I suspect that they relied on second/third hand information that they got from each other.

@Kvirion OMG That photo is priceless! It's perfect!!
