We all know about carrageenan, gums, citric acid and red 40 etc. But what are some additives that are harmful but overlooked/not talked about much?

This thought came to me cuz I often see mono and dyglicerides in breads and idk if thats safe to consume

Not sure about EU rules but in US, additives like silicon dioxide can be present in food as a "processing agent" and unlabeled in the ingredients. I imagine there are a lot of sneaky additives like this in packaged foods.

@PUFADestroyerPPO Sodium Citrate and Disodium Phosphate in Great Value Half & Half. What a con! I can't find any heavy creams that don't include a gum/carrageenan and/or weird stabilizers like Disodium Phosphate around me. I mostly buy Trader Joe's Organic Half & Half because it's just milk and cream.
