Androstenedione was more effective than testosterone in this study .

@jimmynelson based on all this - would telmisartan be the best drug?

it acts like metformin in a unique way to control insulin resistance but also helps blood pressure and reduces aldosterone

@wester130 I'm not sure insulin resistance or aldosterone factor in much here. can you elaborate on what you mean?

Nettle root may be more interesting than anything els

1 - it reduces aromatase enzyme

2 - binds to shbg, so testosterone won't, therefore allowing more testosterone

3 - may even reduce DHT

so it's a very interesting mechanism, even though it raises testosterone it balances the estrogen testosterone ratio

Has anyone tried well cooked mushrooms? There are many people reporting that it shifts the test/e2 ratio incredibly favorably, (better even than AIs). I hate to keep spamming Hans’ substack, but he’s run bloodwork pre-post mushroom experiments, and shown test/e2 rations above 20:1, (might have been 30:1 I don’t remember).

Myself personally, (no bloodwork) but since I’ve added 3oz of well cooked mushrooms to each meal, I’ve seen nothing but improvement, (less puffy, zero constipation, reduction in inflammation, better mood etc).
