Psychosis/Schizophrenia
-
About a year ago, I had a really bad reaction to a potent THC weed strain. It triggered a psychotic episode, and I experienced serotonin syndrome-like symptoms for about 24 hours — high fever, chills, vomiting, profuse sweating, and intense shaking
Since that episode, I’ve become increasingly worried about developing schizophrenia. My cognitive abilities have significantly declined and still haven't fully recovered. I also suffer from severe headaches and dizziness .
I’ve been having major sleep issues. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night feeling extremely confused, with my mind stuck in a “loop” — worrying about something illogical. This is often accompanied by uncontrollable shaking that lasts for about 30 minutes before I can fall back asleep.
Here’s some background on my health
I have celiac disease and have been on a strict gluten-free diet for about 15 years (I was hospitalized for malnutrition as a child before diagnosis).
I have hypothyroidism and take Levothyroxine T4 (50 mcg, Monday to Friday).
I was recently told I have SIBOI’m constantly bloated and have long struggled with immune issues — including asthma and severe dermatitis, which at one point required immunosuppressants.
Current Diet:
Lactose-free milk
Homemade gluten-free bread
Butter
Red meat
Rice
Carrots
Tomatoes
Bananas
Some orange juiceI experimented with nicotinic acid (around 500 mg a day), which gave me brief moments of mental clarity — though it might have been placebo. I stopped taking it after experiencing chest pain during the flush, which made me worried about my heart
Should I continue taking nicotinic acid, or is there a safer form of Vitamin B3?
Please avoid negative comments — i'm struggling a lot with negative thoughts
Thank you in advance -
You'll be alright.

In my experience that can be an imperceptible loss long after the fact. Subclinical hypovolemia can feel very odd and unpleasant.

Maybe you'll come out on a better top.

Niacinamide but I don't think you should take anything concentrated for now.

Yeah I'm not sure, I forgot the most important piece of information and it is that I'm experiencing paranoia, disorganized thoughts, I'm irritated by any sound or visual stimulus, it's really hard for me to concentrate in one thing without my mind jumping into another unrelated subject, I have a constant feeling of impending doom, short term memory problems (sometimes I forget things that I did one moment ago). All of that indicates me that I might be developing schizophrenia given that there's a 20-50% change of doing so after a first weed-induced psychotic episode
