The Kulaks? That's an insane thing to claim, never seen anyone say Stalin killed every single land-owning peasant. There was surely a struggle with the petty bourgeois peasantry. It's to be expected if you understand history. Many were trying to starve out the revolution, and they were rightfully repressed for that.
But tell me how can you give voting rights back to a group that you murdered? Do you walk up to the corpses and say 'you can vote now.'? Why would you do that?
Заячий would be transliterated as Zayachiy btw, but I don't know what you're even attempting there. Just call it Hare Island. I speak Russian and I would never think of throwing in the original Russian into a conversation - let alone then needlessly and incorrectly transliterating one part of the place name - especially when the name has a very simple translation.
