Correctly Measuring Dosage for Thyroid Therapy
-
Hi all
I've read the fantastic article by Danny Roddy for supplementing Thyroid
https://dannyroddy.substack.com/p/demystifying-thyroid-supplementation
I'm about to start supplementing using cynomel / plus
Micrograms and milligrams are obviously tiny weights
Can anyone recommend a good scale they've found for measuring these weights correctly?
Amazon seems a mixed bag from what I've seen
Thanks

The nootropics depot scale is pretty good, its basically a gemini scale but they qc every unit plus it has lifetime warranty

If you're getting cynomel or cynoplus tablets, they have microgram dosages in each tablet/pill (25mcg of T3 in cynomel, 120mcg of T4 and 30mcg of T3 in cynoplus), so you won't need to weigh out precise amounts of powder or anything like that, if that's what you're worried about.
More generally, a common way to make dosing precise small amounts of a substance easier/safer/more consistent is to make a relatively low concentration solution in a liquid, and dose by volume.

@rocknrolluser I cut it with my teeth and measure with a cheap precision scale. With time you will get very good at cutting exactly what you need with your teeth, although using a scale it's still a must to verify weight.

@pannacottas thank you
