Did you, BioEclectic and other members have the chance to open the initial version of the forum, at the time when Ray agreed with its creation? The appearance was almost a variation of his website, with a picture of him and some of his favorite foods.
I vaguely remember that yes. Just checked archive.today and it’s not great - https://archive.is/raypeatforum.com Random selection of pages and the oldest I found was 2016.
I wonder what are the thresholds for protesting for those who remain indifferent. They need a footage of the lion incinerating members with
ethanolretinol to act?Maybe some of the indifferent ones are struggling with serious health problems and don’t want to provoke the lion in case they get banned and lose the ability to ask questions there.
As for the few supportive militants, they're intriguing. They identify themselves as the open-minded camp while watching unfazed the tyranny in front of them. If these people were liberals as claimed, they would repudiate the administration and wouldn't be willing to be part of it.
Other than Mosaic and Christ lady, does anyone recognize the current pro-vitamin A posters at RPF? Could they be infiltrators or “sleeper” accounts that were already in position for this purpose?
So the same entity as Thor Torrens and company - put in place to slowly ramp up the slander of Ray and create the illusion of a consensus for low vitamin A BS. Perfect example is this Sebastian B guy referring to “the high-toxin Ray Peat cancer diet." They’re definitely escalating their lies.
Yes, but my attention is on the people who are not in critical situations, and they represent a considerable part of the indifferent.
Unlike before, that members of the community were limited in alternatives and had to put up with maladministration to stay in touch with persons into Ray's work, we now have multiple platforms embracing the community as the forum disintegrates. So, people can more and more rely on the Garrey Pith Forum as an archive and interact elsewhere.
For the few militants over there who think that they belong to the open-minded camp, start to question your leader for fair reasons and let's see how long you last in this broad-minded, philanthropic group that you support.
While it's true that administrators in general want their platform to be busy, and we're also utilitarian in a sense, I haven't spotted such kind of corrupted behavior in the alternatives.
Tip: if you decide to be a questioner on the Garrey Pith Forum, you may write 'Cheese!' on your message to look good on the screenshot of your final post. #toxicpawnapocalypse

@yerrag
great breakdown of the 'useful App that is no longer'. And the symbol of 'more to come' down the road. Tech that gives you a nudge left or right, up or down, but not actually have any useful #s as Data for yourself.I have an old iphone 4, which cannot do phone as there is no longer 2G here or in the US. Still works fine. I kept it as back up for my recently received iphone 6. We got old tech that works just fine. Til apple stuffs the OS, or 4G gets outmoded.
-
I'm done with the RPF, but if you really want to raise the ire of the 'toxic a' crowd wherever you may find them, try asking them why the liver converts carotenoids to vitamin a in the first place.

According to this analytics site, Ray Peat Forum headquarters are in Cambridge, UK - not Florida where “Charlie” lives
Seems strange since these other websites have accurate locations:
RPF was more popular than you might think - the #211 ranked website in the world for health/nutrition. Compare to these similar sites:
But now traffic levels are tanking...
Even if they’re just returning to normal levels from Mercola boosting views in January, we can see here that pageviews and time on site have fallen off a cliff
This website also says that RPF HQ is in the UK: “Ray Peat Forum's headquarters are located at Tennis Ct Rd, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, CB2 1PD, United Kingdom”

@ilovethesea He probably hosting the site on a server stationed in the UK. It's not a uncommon thing to see for people hosting a web site. Maybe that's why he's also charging people money now. He might have gotten tired paying for it after all these years.
-
@ilovethesea
Interesting, though I wonder how 'accurate' these numbers are.
The first PIC shows that raypeat.com has 11-50 employees???
And it makes $1 - $2 Million in annual revenues?!
Hmmmm. Anyhow, stats can be influential for certain decisions. For us as individuals and for other $$$ types. Carry on ! -

I'm not sure about this. Early on I was looking at some info about the site and got references to Iceland I think. Anyway after looking at it some more I realized it was the hosting site/network whatever. This seems odd to show HQ in England IMO. I'm sure these reporting sites take into account server hosting otherwise it would be all over the place. I could be wrong, but I find this suspect.
-
@C-Mex Whois still lists Iceland.

This information comes up when you do a search for the owner of the domain name RayPeatForum.

The server is Cloudflare which is US based.

I think it has to do with the Cloudflare service.
-
@C-Mex Interesting that the registry was JUST updated on Jan. 11, 2024. Maybe that is when he transferred ownership to whatever entity is in the UK.

https://iplocation.io/website-server-software/raypeatforum.comThis is bombshell info if we are reading this right. The RPF has been a fraud from the beginning.
-
Was the registry address changed?

The Iceland thing is Namecheap which is where he originally registered the domain - talks about it here https://www.namecheap.com/blog/domain-privacy-is-changing-at-namecheap/
-
Oh, I see where you are getting that. Actually I think that is just like a renewal for the domain name. A similar search for raypeat.com shows it was updated (extended I think) until 2026, but that doesn't imply any address change I don't think.

This address is associated with Cambridge University

Makes me think of the great work by Mike Benz, where the now mature censorship industry has taken root in gov't cutouts within academia like Stanford's Internet 'Observatory' and think tanks like the Atlantic Council, doing the work the gov't is prohibited doing by law. I feel like the RPF is some kind of 'counter-misinformation' project funded by the Uniparty on both sides of the pond.
-
@C-Mex Oh okay that makes sense. There is an archived version of that page on SimilarWeb but it won’t give access https://web.archive.org/web/20230301174108/https://www.similarweb.com/website/raypeatforum.com/
For what it’s worth I just looked up my own projects on SimilarWeb and the address is 100% accurate. Not sure how it knows.
Edit - I guess Cambridge is some kind of spook university?? It says here it has links to British intelligence. https://consortiumnews.com/2022/12/21/cambridge-universitys-course-for-spooks/

Plus the CIA, French Security Services and others I don't recognize offhand.
