I'm one of the top researchers under Garret and Grant's camp.
I don't know who Charlie is, only that he's forcing low A down Peat forum's throats.
I do find this odd. As much as I can back all of my claims up with papers, I'm not entirely sure why Charlie has operated in the way that he has. Low A has a lot of enemies as the moment, so I wouldn't rule out the possibility of enemy agents trying to ruin our optics.@will_of_europa

I'd like to know too. I don't know anybody in the Low A Toxic Bile Theory movement who's actually spoken to Charlie, and I'm one of the leading researchers. Seems odd, and not how I would go about introducing new ideas to somebody else's legacy.@will_of_europa

As far as I know Garret hasn't even talked to Charlie, or any of us doing TBT theory for that matter. We don't know who he is. -

What researcher talks in terms of being in a 'camp' with 'papers to back me up'? Why would they care or even know about 'enemies'? What about Smith's own tweets deriding Peat? Sorry, this looks like a cheap attempt to establish legitimacy as a counter movement by claiming anybody would care to try to subvert it.

Self-experimentation being a feature of Ray Peat's work, but you won't gain weight on this one. Confuse, divide, conquer.
None of these people can impugn Ray Peat's work. The real losers in this charade are the people for whom his work gets lost, public policy changes if his perspectives were more widely accepted, and the future research he may have inspired, and yet still might despite all of this.

And the some of the people he has the most problems with are the Pharisees, a Jewish sect that practiced a kind of performative faith, for the sake of beeing seen as holy; and not whores, thieves or people that actually commited a crime. -
I know at this point we're basically just kicking a dead horse. We've already established Charlie is a grifter who didn't really take Peat's work seriously. It appears he also didn't listen too well in the pod interviews he did either. I remember this exact topic in one of his interviews. Ray wasn't eating all those calories because he was hyperthyroid, he was eating them because he was wasting glucose at a massive rate. Taking thyroid established his liver's ability to hold glycogen much more efficiently. Which he went on to say is not that uncommon in people who start thyroid. Many people see they actually need less calories per day.

@Mulloch94 I think you're being a bit optimistic in thinking he just didn't listen, he seems dead set on twisting everything Peat said to support his current ideology.
I was just listening to the On the back of a tiger interview today and Peat talked about this on his day one interview, very easy to verify but these guys will keep repeating their lies. They even have threads on RPF about some hypo people being skinny and needing tons of calories, it would be hard to miss, so I think he's just twisting things as usual. Charlie has no integrity. -
