      haidut's account here has just been a copy of his website postings so far so it's unclear if he reads any replies on them. Therefore this more prominent and separate thread.
      Georgi, if you're reading this, would you be interested in delving into (macro)autophagy and CMA (chaperone-mediated autophagy)?
      To a bioenergetic viewpoint and towards basal levels of inflammation as low as possible and mitochondria as functional as possible it seems prudent to bridge this gap.
      And to delve into how impairments in these systems could be turned around.
      To reverse accumulation of lipid droplets, broken organelles and debris.
      Getting rid of lipofuscin. And of damaged mitochondria of course through mitophagy.

      Obviously countless medications (especially those antipsychotic ones again) and the usual PUFAs are great inhibitors but it appears that among the SFA, palmitic acid is too.
