When did moral fagging become a popular thing on the internet?

It seems like pre-2014/2015, there was 4chan, 8chan, hackers, omegle, tinychat, e-dating with large age gaps and people didn't care, games like Habbo Hotel were at their peak (kino game), carding, scamming, offensive humor was big on twitter, Shane Dawson, the fappening/anon-ib, etc.
To me the internet seemed like a free for all, and sort of a dark place, but in a good way. Moral sensationalism didn't drive the most traffic like it does today. Now most viral youtube videos are "this big youtuber texted a 17 year old", targeted right towards a sensitive zoomer audience who have been taught the most toxic and neurotic form of morality for as long as were in public education and college. To me, these youtubers operate with a holier than thou attitude where their sense of moral superiority is held in however many people they expose as crypto scammers, "racists", "rapists", and "pedophiles". They talk about these people with such seriousness as if they are reporting on Jeffrey Dahmer because they don't have anything that's really huge to report on.
I think because of this neurotic drive to enforce morality in so many people, this is part of the reason why offensive humor has died down. To strong moral enforcers, making light of their efforts and making fun of their protected groups is unacceptable because they are so adamantly driven for a "clean" society.
The people mentioned above aren't necessarily left leaning but trying to find some sort of group to hate to make themselves feel morally superior. These people usually lack religious or philosophical belief of morality and need to find common ground on something. I see similar in right leaning people when it comes to OnlyFans and twitch girls, schizophrenically believing that they are targeting literal children, not understanding that onlyfans is paywalled and even if they did understand this, they'd still soyjak about muh woman in bikini.

@JailBaitEnjoyer Even 10 years ago people cared less about crazy age gaps, it seems like it's just the longhouse intensifying more and more. I have (ex) friends who won't even admit an 17-18 year old is attractive. These are going to be the same people working in an office wearing pronoun name tags just to make $40,000 a year. I think people need to recognize the importance of libertarianism, free speech platforms, troll accounts, posts that are more over the top. You run into more problems micromanaging people's mild sins against societal morality than you do just leaving things be. Racist anime profile picture accounts are scary to normies because they are reminded that they aren't able to neurotically control the entire world and create "balanced and fair" objective morality.
You can tell even right wing NPCs lack reason when they seriously discuss a ban on pornography, not understanding how impossible this is when you have VPNs, TOR, torrenting, and of course people's already existing massive hard drives. It goes against the very nature of the computer and the internet to think you can ban anything. It's like demanding we go back in time and never create the computer and the internet.

@JailBaitEnjoyer They also lack the understanding that they have women morality. Everything they are against is what a nagging woman is against. They want control over young men who by their nature control themselves. You see this a lot with people who are vehemently against strip clubs, prostitution, pornography, anime girls, etc. These are certainly not the same people who grew up with call of duty lobbies and 4chan /b/.
A lot of the drive to paint everyone as a literal pedo comes from pizzagate qanon conspiracies. This comedian made an offensive pedo joke therefore they're an adrenochrome harvesting pedo, this comedian texted a 17 year old girl who told him she was 18, therefore he's an adrenochrome harvesting pedo. It's moral sensationalism that arises when you don't have anything real to talk about. It's the politics of an old conservative boomer woman who's experiencing mental decline.
There's more interest in policing the behavior of white 18-29 year old men then there is for securing the border, fixing the economy, fixing the food supply, and getting people off medication. Too much video game playing, drinking, cussing, and masturbating. LOL.

@Sugar I think the appetite to amplify morality is yet another thrashing of the God shaped hole in humanities collective psyche. The culture likes to deny ethical absolutes and objective mority, but in practice, we all recognize there is some place for it, and so we fixate on the ethics of our "influencers" in order to fill this void by commenting on specific circumstances where the timeless ethical truth is "undeniable" Undeniable in quotes because it's often quite debatable.

Most of these people are women/weak low T men who take the path of least resistance socially, they don't actually stand for anything and will go along with whatever becomes the dominant social trend. Before it was edgy conservative-ish "vulgar wave" culture (as lindyman calls it) and now it's progressivism. The way the redditor archetype has evolved is the perfect example of this
I personally don't care what these people are currently latching on to they don't matter and were/will be annoying no matter what

One of the five core principles of human need, is purity/sanctity. We are watching the woke trade one for the other over the course of 50 years, like a magnet in a scrap yard, the human soul demands adherence to one thing or another.
