      Ingredients (25 total)
      Dried berries & fruits

      Dried bilberry
      Dried raspberry
      Dried blackcurrant
      Goji berries
      Rose hips
      Dried elderberries
      Hawthorn berries
      Schisandra berries

      Roots & rhizomes

      1. Nettle root

      2. Ginseng root

      3. Cistanche root

      4. Turmeric root (or dried turmeric pieces)

      5. Ginger root (fresh or dried)

      6. Astragalus root

      7. Ashwagandha root

      8. Rhodiola root

      9. Dandelion root

      10. Burdock root

      11. Licorice root (use sparingly)

      Hard spices, seeds & mushrooms

      1. Black peppercorns

      2. Cinnamon sticks (or cassia bark)

      3. Cloves

      4. Cardamom pods

      5. Fennel seeds

      6. Reishi mushroom slices (or chaga chunks)
        Suggested starting quantities (strong 4 L batch)

      Dried berries (1–8): 25–40 g each
      Roots (9–19): 15–30 g each (licorice only 8–12 g)
      Black peppercorns: 1–1½ tsp
      Cinnamon sticks: 2–3
      Cloves: 6–10 whole
      Cardamom pods: 8–12
      Fennel seeds: 1–2 tsp
      Reishi (or chaga): 15–25 g

      Method

      Add all 25 ingredients to the crock pot.
      Pour in 4 litres of water (or enough to sit just below the max fill line).
      Cook on low for the full 8 hours.
      Turn off, let cool slightly, then strain well.
      Store the liquid in the fridge (keeps 5–7 days). Dilute to taste when drinking.
