I love a good oyster. I always find them best fresh, off the half-shell. Some people grill them with garlic butter or similar - that's fine, though I don't entirely understand why oysters need any interference. I mostly buy them at restaurants, but they are not difficult to buy and shuck yourself (and if you eat a lot, much cheaper). Freshness is, as with all other things, paramount.
If you are just getting into oysters I would advise going to a restaurant and ordering a variety of oysters, ideally accompanied by a friend who will eat the remainder if you don't like them. The difference in the US between an East and West coast oyster (or even a California and Washington oyster) is quite substantial and some may suit your taste better. Serve with lemon, mignonette, and champagne.

RE: Whenever I discussed diet with normies they always steer the conversation towards weight loss/weight gain
I think mostly people use weight as a proxy for real health. When people talk about being "thin" they usually implicitly mean lean, not malnourished. Our innate beauty standards reflect in large part a healthy organism (symmetry, body fat %, and so on), although there is certainly a strong cultural element.
I don't see it as a bad thing - it's a starting point to have deeper discussions around health and wellbeing. I think many of us had similar starting points. The problem is where people tend to be too dogmatic around things like CICO.
As an aside - sometimes the "normie" view can be an effective check on fringe health arguments. If someone has a compelling theory but their fizeek is shit then we should question the validity of their theory.

RE: Excessive sweating
@monadology To add, I do think there is a non-cortisol cause that adds on as it has been an issue since childhood. So will try a multi-pronged approach.

RE: Excessive sweating
Thank you all; extremely helpful. I think cortisol is a likely target as I am frequently quite stressed (work and otherwise), but will keep exploring all avenues. You all are lifesavers.

RE: sebhorreic dermatitis cure ?
Pine tar soap can be very helpful. I found also that Mane & Tail shampoo and conditioner greatly improved mine, and are extremely cheap. Not the best ingredients but something in there really worked. Haven't had it on the beard so unsure how to help there, sorry.

Excessive sweating
Hi all, I've been plagued for essentially my whole life with high levels of sweating at night and during even moderate activities. I recall some discussion in the Old Country that this might be due to high estrogen levels, but curious on opinions. I'm 25M, decent shape. I've attached some recent labwork for more context.
I don't have a hormone panel; working on that. Can't self order bloodwork in NYS.
Any input greatly appreciated.

RE: Low dose DNP
Check out this lyle mcdonald and this bodybuilding.com thread for more info. Faster for you to read than for me to (poorly) regurgitate. One factor that might affect DNP experience is also carb level in diet, which I presume would be high here.

RE: Low dose DNP
I recall reading ages ago that many issues from DNP came from the half life of 36 hours, meaning that a 24-hr dosage schedule will result in a continuous slight buildup of DNP. Can anyone confirm? Probably much less of an issue at low dosage.
