What's with all the accounts grifting on twitter using Peat's work?

Many of these accounts rephrase Peat's ideas in their posts and then use them to promote discount codes, coaching , paid groups, and other crap. If they acknowledged Peat's work in their profiles or stated that their Twitter content is based on his work, it would be a different story.

They don't contribute to his work, they only use it to gain a following and profit on social media.

I am not talking about Haidut or Danny, they provide value.

All those I sampled seem fine to me. The wider context is ill but that's no ones fault really. The human race has a hangover to nurse. Ongoing platform issues and personality obsessions. A lot of cognitive outsourcing.

If you catch one lying or or otherwise distorting information repeatedly, and you can reasonably speculate on and test an ill reason they'd do so. In your right mind. Light them up. Same in any kind of "consultancy" really. Even offline. There's always going to be bad actors. And bad observers.

Agree all should be sighting sources. Or at least reminding the going attention that "the truth is out there" (for free). But what can you do.

@CO2 Yes... there a couple who have giant lip fillers which I find interesting... yet preach about the Ray Peat lifestyle...

I do like Kitty but I find it weird all the bikini poses showing off her body to sell her program/supplements so you can be like her. And there’s no nuance that maybe ice cream and orange juice won’t work for everybody.

The Edge Content I feel similarly... she always does these side by sides to show she’s aging backwards. And yes that’s great, but maybe she looks younger because she moved out of the city and has a lower stress lifestyle!

I don’t know, I just see Ray’s work being so dumbed down, losing context, and used so shamelessly for grifting... I don’t pay attention to any “Ray Peat influencers” anymore.

The only account I follow now is nutrition.elements who is a bit anti Peat. Ironically she’s the only one who gave me ideas to fix things I could not figure out from anyone in the RP community.

@lobotomize-me yes she just posted about Ray again today! White sugar - she said he’s right about the biochemistry BUT you need to also layer in Traditional Chinese Medicine principles/body type wisdom and understand it’s not suitable for certain people, it’s dampness promoting. Same with milk. I’m finding this to be very true.

here’s an example of the type of IG posts that give me pause 🤔🤔🤔🤔

twitter is all a grift ultimately. but, look at the bible - there are a million denominations with drastically different rules and versions of "the good book." it's information.

Twitter/ X is also a good place to find hidden gems and useful anecdotal experiences within the bioenergetic realm, or any really.
