Does anyone have experience with the OTC lithium? Any positives or negatives? The ammonia reduction seems like it might be worth trying.

@bigdeuce to me it feels slightly serotonergic at ~50mg of carbonate form and less as orotate form, has some serotonin activity which i dont like much but its not intense, but calms adrenaline (similar to sodium in that anti adrenaline effect) , has some benefits

better to steer clear of the extreme doses they use in the 100s of milligrams as carbonate / chloride form, because that is anti thyroid and starts to get kidney toxic and not needed, and the orotate form is more bioavailable

u still get the gsk inhibition on lower dose and i think a big dose is 50mg-70mg as carbonate, shown in bone healing studies to work so extremes over that probably not needed, and get brain benefits on neurogenesis on lower amounts over time e.g shown in alzheimers studies
<10mg human equivalent lithium carbonate had good effects on cognition over time here, increased neurogenesis

going high salt might give the gsk inhibition https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23324178/)

I take 5 mg a day of piping rock lith orotate.
          No issues, only good.
Dinkov raves about lithium in a couple of his youtube interviews.

I take 0.5mg lithium orotate from time to time and it helps with panic attacks. If I take it more that twice a week it seems to lose it's effect.

I have high whole blood histamines and from what I've read is that high histamine causes high glutamate activity in the brain. Lithium helps to dampen a glutamate storm from what I understand (I'm no expert). If I feel my head getting hot, panic setting in and uncontrollable rumination, Lithium helps with that. If my anxiety is more of a "body high" with heart palpitations, it doesn't help with that.
