Does anybody know of a Safe Gel? A Peaty Gel?
-
As per the title, looking into gels for topical application. I've posted a link in another thread about a gel containing sugar regrowing hair.
In light of a Peat quote about keeping the scalp moistened with with glucose, a gel would keep the scalp moistened way longer than my topical application, which dries up in a few minutes.
Thoughts on Gel? I've never seen Peat speak to it. I'm aware the gums are bad, but I'd like some educated opinions or quotes regarding others, like polymer gels used in meds.
Thanks!

it looks like aloe vera is likely estrogenic.

I'm not sure about gel, but maybe mixing with coconut oil or tallow might be good as these are pretty effective topical moisturizers in my experience.
I also wonder if hyaluronic acid could be useful here too -
Maybe also a shower cap or the like during application to retain moisture could be useful too

@OliverCloasov @Cicero I'm looking into hyaluronic acid.
But, I also found a coconut oil extracted glycerin. I'm gonna play with that.

@LetTheRedeemed Hipwell Ranch has a tallow beeswax balm that is thick enough to hold hair. "Good Bloke" has a coconut oil hair wax

@Snow I’m not opposed, I’ll look into it. My concern with oil or wax based is not that it won’t absorb necessarily (possibly a problem with wax), but more so that it won’t maintain moistness adequately… idk feeling things out here
