I'm still looking for a pinpoint accurate thermometer. Is Mercury thermometers under both armpits right after waking still the meta?

Mercury thermometers are very hard to find these days. Plus, if you drop them and they break you are in trouble.

Galistan non-mercury glass thermometers are the best next thing for under the armpit measurements as far as accuracy goes.

I have tried the forehead swipe thermometers and ear thermometers and can't seem to get consistent readings with them, so I just use a cheap digital thermometer and leave it underarm for like 5-10 minutes and that seems to give solid readings.

@tea @Eric I use this one too. When you need to reset it, don't use the provided accessory. Stick it in the case, then in a longer sock, spin it around a few times and viola.
