Sleep tips for pregnant woman

Having issues sleeping first trimester. Can fall asleep no problem but wake up several times a night. Here’s what I’ve tried, would love any suggestions
Ice cream before bed
Red light before bed
Thyroid
Large dose progesterone
Pregnenolone
Magnesium- topical and pill
Eating something when I wake -
Hi @functionalgirl, do you get enough calories during the day to keep your liver glycogen topped off during the night, and have you tried experimenting with different carb and protein sources and different carb to protein ratios?

Are you thirsty when you do? And if yes, are you responding to it and how? Pause for a moment to think about that, because thirst can be a bit hard to recognise sometimes.

Mabye it's the same as menopause? Because I have the same issue.
I've tried all those things. The only thing that works somewhat is eating/drinking carbs when I wake up at around 3. That helps with falling back asleep. The other things help more with falling asleep initially but not with waking up. -
@Jennifer I haven’t kept track of this but I feel like I’m eating enough. I could look into it for sure

@happyhanneke I tried a mag glycine version and actually slept amazing for the first time in forever. Worth a shot even if it was just a fluke
