    Over the years I have noticed that I have to urinate more and more frequently, to the point that it is now interfering with my quality of life. Especially when I consume caffeine (usually two cups of coffee a day) or drink alcohol (every couple of weeks) I have to pee far too often. Researching my symptoms, I think they are probably due to Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). Does anyone have any recommendations on medications, or anything really, that can help with this? A friend of mine has recently started taking tadalafil daily (for weightlifting purposes) and commented that it can help with BPH. Before you mention it, I already conform to the Peat wisdom of ensuring I get enough salt, drink milk and fruit juice rather than water, etc. My thyroid function is also healthy. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

      In a podcast with Danny, Georgi said he thought stinging nettle root might be worth a shot. It contains anti estrogenic compounds

        @jamezb46 thank you, this looks promising. I found Danny talking about stinging nettle in this podcast. He says that he's heard it can help with hairloss, admits he didn't look into it much, but says to avoid it if it lowers DHT. Trying to dig up the episode in which Georgi talks about it.

          @aristotle I had something similar, and found some info that hibiscus might help. I drank a few cups of strong hibiscus tea for a few days, and it resolved. Worth a shot maybe.

            Youtube Video

            Above is the link to the episode. They start talking about nettle root at around 21:40.

              Natural treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia
              Role of Diet & Useful Nutrients:
              =>reduction in DHT production
              Beware of oxidized PUFA, excess dairy (hormones), lack of vegetables & soups.
              We will particularly target the following contributions:

              • Antioxidant coverage: quercetin, EGCG, lycopène ***, annatto (50 UI en annatto (gamma and delta tocotrienols + L-ascorbic acid to recycle them).
              • Anti-inflammatory: nettle leaves
              • 1 to 2 glasses of red wine or an aperitif (OPC)

                @aristotle i know nothing about too much urination caused by prostrate issues but since i know myself i have had issues with peeing too much.

                Just after drinking a glass of water i would go piss and feel thirsty even if i had just drunk water.

                But since i started drinking sugared juices i dont pee with much frequency as before.

                I know you just said you already drink juice but try to put more sugar in them.

                Who knows..

                  The problem has not the same source: With prostatis the conduct is pressed and the way out is not free because of compression.
