I don't usually post on forums but I read this article and it blew my mind a little so I thought I'd share it here- it mentioned danny's roddys work and talked about estrogen and prolactin etc , can I trust the advice given on it and go shopping supplements with this info?

@hazawitu it seems pretty ok to me but don't take it as scripture or anything. Im not sure id get all jazzed up about buying supplements based on this article. If you are new to supplements especially, you need a big primer article on what to look for in “additional ingredients” for instance 90% of the supplements at my local natural grocers are harmful at best. A person could write a very long article on this. Also agree with the other comment about iodine. You don’t need that. You’ll get it through foods and milk without trying to.
Read Broda Barnes hypothyroidism the unsuspecting illness. And any Ray Peat articles. 🍊🌞

The article is "built" to make the buzz. Partly true and some uncomplete ones. The kind brought to catch attention (photo + hormone, namely serotonin).
If you want correct information about thyroid - we need to know if your are hypo or hyper (I guess for hypo in case you've taken some weight and feels tired, + other symptoms) - you'd better go and see else where. Broda Barnes is trustful how to proceed. Peat only to know why you shouldn't believe what has been said about serotonin, or how you should speed up metabolism. Not to apply literally if you're hypo, what orange juice is concerned. Moderation is the key when metabolism is weak. Need staples to progress. Too much of a good thing is bad when overloading.

            Adapt according to feeling.

Yes for excess estrogen and prolactin. Problem. But it's not when making a amalgam with theory and excess weight (photo) you're going to lose weight. By the way it's easier to lose weight than not to take it back.
We need more info if you want some help. Context and target.

@LucH Exactly; my first thoughts were it's completely theory-based and is designed to sound factual and kind of give hope, but I couldn't describe it in words; "buzz" is the perfect word thank you
