Why is Aspirin encouraged but Ibuprofen is harmful?

They're both NSAIDs so wondering what the difference is between the two. I had tooth issues the past 2 years and was taking Ibuprofen on and off, and after a little while it would bother my stomach

All NSAIDs except aspirin damage mitochondria. It's probably one of the most researched drugs for longevity.
Aspirin increases metabolic rate (AMPK, PGC-1a, uncoupling, some studies say it increases T3).
