2-Oxa Tren has been replaced with Non-methylated OXANDROLONE
-
@eduardo-crispino The 2-oxa tren was shown to be 7-9 times more androgenic than methyltestosterone in castrated rats. The claim of being less androgenic was a specific claim that Haidut made in the tread linked above

@eduardo-crispino this has always confused me. To my understanding, the degree of “androgenicity” of a a steroid is defined by scientists, as a steroids impact on physical indicators of androgenicity in animals such as prostate size.
A certain bioassay called the Hershberger bioassay is used, which gives a score for androgenicity and anabolism compared to testosterone which is a score of 100 for both androgenicity and anabolism.
For example, nandrolone has a androgenicity rating of 50 (half that of testosterone) but it is a much more potent androgen receptor agonist.
I suspect “androgenicity” / the growth of the prostate is affected by other hormones such as estrogen and cortisol. That’s why a steroids affinity to the androgen receptor doesn’t necessarily correlate to androgenicity

@alfredoolivas all I can add is that taeian says the the Hersheberger test , is mostly useless information for determining if a steroid will have "androgenic" side effects like hairloss etc in humans. and this last part (equating "androgenicity" [depending on how we actually define that term] to side effects like hair loss) seems like a contentious assumption without a clear definition of the term, since haidut's other posts talk about how beneficial androgens are and even things like androgens don't cause hairless etc. so that's why im a little surprised that he says not having androgenic effect is a positive in his rpf post when he is describing the steroid OP posted

@eduardo-crispino I think he called the 2-oxa tren non-androgenic in the context of arguing that it is non-suppressive and beneficial for catabolic illnesses like ALS and sarcopenia
-
@jamezb46 would u guinea pig it if u got a hold of it? xD
-
@eduardo-crispino I am on 100mg of trenbolone acetate a week, it seems to be an okay anti-cortisol and anti estrogenic agent at these doses.
-
@alfredoolivas I got some sort of heart fibrillation or panic attack or something after a couple months on a similar dose of Tren e and about the same test. I knew nothing about minerals or nutrition or anything at the time. it did keep me sorta lean and gave a good look
the other thing I remember is that it made my sleep light and not really refreshing feeling but yet I was still not traditionally tired. I think at the time I had the panic attack or whatever that I intuitively attributed it to that change in sleep quality effect over such a long period of time, I must have been on it for like 4-5 months now that I think of it

@jamezb46 thx

@jamezb46 haidut certainly will not be selling 2-Oxa methyl tren XD. Methyl tren is probably one of the most liver toxic chemicals known to man.
Methyl trenbolone in doses as low as 100mcg a day have shown to be hepatoxic in humans.
That makes me think, what was the hormone Haidut was comparing 2-oxa trenbolone to, to judge its androgenicity? Trenbolone itself too is less androgenic and anabolic than methyl testosterone, when both are administered orally, but only because it’s poorly absorbed orally. Methyl testosterone is usually the reference standard for oral administration

@jamezb46 Interesting thank you.
"The 17b-hy- droxy-2-oxaestra-4,9(10)-dien-3-one analog
(III) showed a similar large increase in myo- trophic activity and enhancement of androgenic potency. The 17a-methyl-2-oxa analog (IV) was by far the most potent compound tested in this series, being 550 times as myotrophic and, de- pending on the response organ studied, 22 or 47 times as androgenic as 17a-methyltestosterone."So my interpretation is that assuming the non-17 alkylated 2-oxa trenbolone has a much lower bioavailability and half life than 17a-methyl testosterone, these results are astonishing, as it can achieve the same androgenic and myotrophic effects despite being poorly absorbed and heavily metabolised by the liver.
And when it is given the same bioavailability and half life as methyl testosterone, via the addition of the methyl group on position 17, it is of course, insane.
Have you got any thoughts on 2-oxa steroids such as anavar? What does replacing the carbon atom with the oxygen atom do?
