Should one bother in the first place?

        Taste.
        Experiment.

        And
        Be prudent.
An already melancholy personality or isolation; does not mix well with alcohol ime.

If you were on the old RPF…
You can remember - it’s documented there- a mate’s battle of grief and sadness intensified with alcohol.
        A shattered life.

The further society drifts from the truth the more it will hate those who speak it.

            Update:

I bought Bombay Sapphire gin. Probably a bit pricey; at the current consumption rate (240g/week) it lasts approximately 2 months, or $1/day.

            Format:
Mixed with Idealabs quinine (any quinine could work, I just went with Idealabs for reliability's sake), blended frozen berries, and sugar/honey.

            Effects:

            1. Sleepiness, especially pronounced on days of sleep loss and labor exhaustion
            2. Brief gut motility the following day
            3. Noticeable anti-serotonergic influence, reduced bitter mood
            4. Not much else

            Economic alternatives:

            1. Wine (a general recommendation I was given if I wanted to mitigate starch consumption and guarantee sugar intake)
            2. Whiskey if in America for solid ABV/$ ratio.

There is one extra effect, that being pain numbing. I found recently that on days of greater toil (blistered feet, sore muscles, tired lungs, etc) that it made me feel less "destroyed" at the end of the day. Body felt more relaxed, wouldn't enter that "shutdown" state after intense duress.

I don't think it's made my skin any paler. Maybe I didn't have that much lipofuscin to begin with...

@Tahodama shot or two of bourbon in an iced latte with lots of maple syrup. RBV. Irish Coffee. Tequila salt lemonade.

Are you still experimenting with alcohol? My alcohol experiment didn't go that well.

@Milk-Destroyer why would you think it would go well? Alcohol is a toxin. Any talk of lipofuscin was in the realm of maybe about a tablespoon full. It wasn't an excuse to "drink," drink.

@bio3nergetic Just curious really. My own experiment was in using a tablespoon of white rum a day. I don't think I noticed any actual benefits, but anecdotally I got horrible tooth aches during the time of the experiment.

@Milk-Destroyer I would highly doubt that little bit caused a physiological disturbance. But indirectly, if the alcohol is even related, it could be drying of the oral tissue as even small amounts can do this, which leads to bacterial opportunity or just the dryness itself. Or the alcohol exposed pre-existing conditions like cavities, cracked teeth, or gum recession. Alcohol can penetrate exposed dentin or nerve pathways, causing sharp, temporary pain.
