@Kilgore Yeah I mean you can wash them. Check Asian stores online and IRL for oysters in just water. They're fairly common. They also exist frozen. I have no clue why all the Yanks buy smoked oysters in cheap oils and then even recommend it to other people.

Weird how I cant find cheap ones in water. There are plenty of cheap ones in oil tough.

@Kilgore Crown Prince is available on Canadian Amazon. There's also probably chinese stores that have them in the city, I know you have a lot of Asian immigrants there; in a physical store also check the frozen section!

Yes thats the first one that comes up to me. Of course Id rather get a smaller portion than 12 8OZ cans the first time around.

yeah i get that lol. It's a bit annoying but I've never bought canned oysters that were particularly bad or anything, so that wouldn't necessarily scare me off. I also don't live with my parents lol, that'd be a bit hard to explain

Not worried about the quality its just that I dont know yet if I like them or not. Buying 6 smaller cans for $15 is a nicer choice than shilling out $126 the first time. (even tough the bulk rate is definitely cheaper). Of course the problem is that the $15 is only in sunflower oil lol. Ill just suck it up and wash what I got.
