Why would you take cynomel?
-
I’ve read that some take Cynomel. Others take Cynoplus
Since Cynomel is only T3. I’m wondering what the advantage of this is?
I thought it’s more advisable to take T3 and T4 which is what cynoplus has. -
@happyhanneke my understanding is that some people have trouble converting T4 to T3 in the body. For example if you have bad liver health. This may be a reason to take T3 without T4.
-
@happyhanneke Cynoplus had a ratio of 4:1 T4 To T3. This makes it difficult to utilize the thyroid because the ratio of T4 is too high. Usually people use a sort of combination therapy to get their desired ratio

I never understood why would liver health have anything to do with it or what is the explanation behind. What goes bag in the liver that it affects the conversion? Is it the liver getting more fattier, or more filled with toxins/ estrogens?

@GreekDemiGod The liver is the main source of T4 conversion. If liver health is poor this can be cause T4 to increase reverse t3 and possibly TSH as well.
