Depression during winter months
-
We get around 7-8 hours of daylight during the winter months. I keep a generally healthy diet and feel alright, but the constant darkness gets the better of me sometimes. Any idea on how I could address that?

@RapexEat 7.5 hours average where I'm from in Winter. Supping Vit D works very well in my experience.

@RapexEat Hopefully something here can help: https://constantinek.substack.com/p/depression-and-mood-disorders

@RapexEat supplement vit d3 (10,000 IU) and k2 mk4 (5mg), drink lots of milk for calcium (or cheese), and exercise. Find a club or martial art, but donβt overtrain. Try to avoid staring at screens.

#1 Tip is to not dysregulate dopamine/seratonin through self-abuse. I've also found placing tastefully dim Christmas lights in my living room make it easier to cope with the prolonged darkness.

These two posts basically sum it up perfectly.
Supp Vit-D3 (I do 50kUI every Sunday), stay active, don't be staring at screens all day, etc. Don't stress yourself out.
