          Starting 2 or 3 weeks ago i went on another Niacinamide protocol, one that i was going to actually stick with this time. At doses of 150-200mg twice a day, sometimes three times just to see if it would keep me awake at night.

          I felt the calming effects the first day, as i had in the past, less than an hour after the dose. Now imagine coupling this with Taurine, Glycine and Magnesium, say goodbye to stress.

          I recall in the past getting a little sleepy from it, and perhaps some sugar cravings, but not this time around.

          I was going to do a standard Niacin protocol but postponed it for some time in the future.

            Excess niacin is glycinated, excess niacinamide is methylated.
            So I repeat [Lucenzoo1 speaking], if Lynch and others claim that niacin is methylated, how does it happen?
            *) Ray PEAT recommended 125mg B3 3 or 4 times daily (200-500mg/day) and he said it's probably safe up to 1000 mg/day.

            Note 1: It’s not because it’s going fine for 2 or 3 weeks, you won’t change the whole physiological balance.
            Note 2: I take 100 mg niacinamide, with B1 B2 B6 PLP and 500 mg TMG 2x/d. With staples when taking high dose B6 PLP (to avoid side-effects on acetylcholine).

                @BioEclectic Very helpful thank you! When I took high dose Niacinamide my blood pressure got super low. Making me feel more anxious. Dropping down to 50mg at each meal

                  @PeatPerspective, you're very welcome. A steady dose of 50mg with most meals would probably bring much of the benefits we've read about Niacinamide, especially if you keep it up for a while. It makes for interesting research too, at the RP forum i do a title only search using the word Niacinamide, so many potential benefits are posted, especially by Haidut.

                        With standard Niacin i was now considering 50-100mg twice a day. I would try to hold that steady for a couple of months. Then afterward only two or three times a week and alternating with my mainstay Niacinamide.

                        Getting that dose semi-precise may be a challenge but there's plenty of time to figure it out before i begin.
