Vitamin B5 increasing insecurity and dissociation?
-
I took between 150-500mg of B5 for a few days
I warmed up instantly, the heat was similar to post alcohol (free fatty acids) then I crashed, cold af
Clarity of vision and derealization went away, everything looked so realMy definition of derealization - everything looks fake, not real. Dissociation - you get an out of body experience that shuts down consciousness for less than half a second. It happens every few seconds. It's hard to be aware when it happens.
But at the same time I had trouble understanding people speak, I couldn't hear well
My diction was bad
Volume low
Pitch high
This made me insecure and shameful socially
No confidenceBefore I had no issues with this
It's similar like the high adrenaline high cortisol state that I had 5 years ago when I was shy and anxious. I experienced dissociation and speech issues for a long time, and I see that B5 increased those symptoms. My question is what's the cause? High adrenaline from B5 increases dissociation and it took me that state?

Am not sure what causes the disassociation but those appear to be fairly high doses of B5 to maintain. I don't recall if there's any permanent negative health effects, but you do have to watch that one imo. Other folks have said it produces odd feelings and agitation, including myself.

Were you trying to perform a specific protocol or just experimenting?

@BioEclectic Thanks for the links. I see that people have bad reactions.
What feels hard to understand is that, if B5 is needed for adrenal function, why excess of B5 will lead to excess of cortisol/adrenaline? I saw that happens also with B1.
Do you know a method of getting B5 out of the system quicker? I was thinking coffee. -
@Insomniac the ones that were traumatized will react stronger to it. It depends more on the person I believe. My friend takes 500mg everyday and doesn't feel any side effects yet.

B1 and B5 are pro acetylcholine!

@Androsclerozat
Good question, if it were me i'd be leery on using coffee to flush B5 with the set of symptoms you're experiencing, but everyone's different. And for the record I do think @Insomniac made a good point in his post though. And to be honest i wasn't entirely sure what a high dose of B5 consists of. But sometimes a sustained mid-dose becomes a high dose if done long enough, saturation etc.
In light of what B5 did for me, i may have to revisit the broader topic eventually.

@BioEclectic Yeah, it's fine now. I finally recovered, I have no more insecurity. B5 got out in the end. Feels so good to be in control.

There’s many things that could be going on. B5 has been known to cause hairloss at higher doses. I’ve tried it out and got the same effects of derealisation which wasn’t fun.
Only a few b vitamins have had positive short term effects for me. Namely Niacinamide and thiamine. Although they only felt good at lower doses and if I sustained it for more than a few days then I’d feel weird mentally.

@Jakeandpace same, niacinamide and thiamine are kings.
