    Hi all

I have been taking TyroMix for a few months now, having gone through 4 bottles of it, overall successfully improving my health greatly - but I feel as though I began supplementing to cure my hypothyroidism too quickly, before even trying to heal through good food.

I am tired of missing a dose by an hour or two and all of a sudden getting really cold, or pulse going extremely low, and sick of bringing my little bottle in my pocket everywhere I go and dosing in front of my friends and having to explain to them "if I don't take this I will probably turn into a zombie in the next few hours"

I take between 8-12 drops daily, randomly when I feel I need it. I am not sure how great of a dosing protocol that is, but I am out of ideas.

I have a few questions, how do I ween off this stuff and not feel crappy in the process? How long will it take for my baseline thyroid function to return? Will I gain weight if I eat the same amount of food despite having a lower metabolic rate for a while?

    Thank you

@mavuue If missing a single dose makes you really cold, and makes your pulse going extremely low, it sounds like thyroid supplementation might still be nescessary for you dont you think?

@mavuue Why not stay on the thyroid and optimise your health with nutrition for a good while before weaning off? With your response to a missed dose I’d say you really need it!
You’ll need to wean very slowly over weeks and you will potentially go hypothyroid for a short amount of time before your natural thyroid production kicks back in.
I felt extreme fatigue for about a week but then I was fine again. Still sleeping deeply but I’m going to start Cynomel again soon.

@Serotoninskeptic @Shar_to_the_dae I was under the impression that my response to a missed dose was only because my regular thyroid function has been suppressed after taking T3 and T4 for a few months? I was cold with a low pulse, but not that cold and not that low of a pulse before taking thyroid as compared to what happens when I miss a dose.

Would one drop less per day be fine? Or too quick? Perhaps one drop less every 2-3 days.

@mavuue Youe thyroid shouldnt be suppressed that strongly. Its likely you are just hypothyroid. Did you feel cold before taking it?

@Serotoninskeptic No where near as bad as I feel when I miss a dose nowadays.

@mavuue Hmm i guess you could experiment with coming off. It would only take like 2 weeks max for natural thyroid function to re ignite
