I've found that listening to some types of music give almost like an adrenaline or stress response in myself, and I find myself unconciously going back to such songs and getting the same response again. Maybe this a hypothyroid thing, routinely submitting myself to this sort of mild stressor?

"As I have never in my life tasted the joy of true love, I shall erect a memorial to this most beautiful of dreams in which love, from the first to the last, will for once find complete abundance. I have developed in my mind a Tristan and Isolde, the simplest yet most thoroughbred musical performance imaginable, and with the 'black flag' waving at the end I shall cover myself - to die."

              Richard Wagner.

Nice way of (potentially) increasing serotonin in another person. I wonder why a member of this forum would want to do that to someone else.

It's objectively bad, true humour. And OP could've done the same thing to some 16 million people with their speech here, if they were too faint to know it wasn't idiocy. Relativity.

Two books some of you might find interesting, both by Joscelyn Godwin:

                    The Harmony of the Spheres
The Harmonies of Heaven and Earth

Good stuff, and great history to become familiar with.

He was a real one. Wagner, Bruckner, Shostakovich = serotonin, dopamine, cortisol, respectively.
