Now that is a lot of reviews. I wonder if those are all real.

Maybe the topical usage of PUFA would not be as big of a factor, but the first three ingredients are:

Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Glycine Soja (SOYbean) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil,

If you don't want to make your own and don't want any bad ingredients, here's a good one:

            https://fountainheadhair.com/products/rosemary-lavender-growth-oil

Never used this product but its from someone who is into natural, organic non-toxic products. You don't get a lot, but you get the convienience of it being ready made and without any weird ingredients, just the oils.

@Hearthfire i was always interested in the idea of adaptogens for hair,

things like schisandra, rhodiola and eleuthero, but never made a decision about them

Yes, I tend to make my own tinctures, extracts to be able to control the ingredients.

                  @Hearthfire
That's a nice mixture, but on the costly side for 2oz. Granted, the initial cost to buy all those ingredients wouldn't be cheap; so, if someone had the budget, I could see the convenience factor outweighing the cost.

Yeah, the list goes on and on. I have many notes with many ingredients to try. Looking at my lists is almost a deterrent more than a motivator, because of of knowing what a long trial and error process it will be.

I forget if we've talked about taurine on this thread, but that's relatively cheap and there has been a lot of talk about it for hair over the last 10 years or so. Believe it or not, I believe I get sides from topical taurine, which are the same sides I get from taking it internally, which is fatigue and lethargy, but it's not as bad. Taurine gives me what I could define as very adaptogenic benefits, until the side effects kick in. It's a clear de-stressor for me and is one of the most system balancing supplements I've ever taken — at least it makes me feel that way. If it weren't for the side effects, I would take it regularly.

Believe it or not, I believe I get sides from topical taurine, which are the same sides I get from taking it internally, which is fatigue and lethargy,

Taurine is a muscle stimulant but also a mind relaxer. It improves your length and deepness of sleep, I've tested it, it works almost too good. That's why you get lethargic on it. People (myself included) also use it in pre-workouts, it is supposed to help with performance and recovery.

Taurine is also a common ingredient in hair growth shampoos, it's in Bloo and some others I've seen. It is known to help with hair growth. I'm using it in my homemade shampoo.

I've been trying to add it to my drinks more often, just sprinkle a little in there. I have to do a large dose to make me feel lethargic, but I've found even smaller doses help with sleep.

Update on diclofenac: Too early to say still, but I swear my vellus hairs are getting thicker in number and longer and some are going terminal in areas where I haven't had terminal hairs in a long time. The biggest changes to my routine has been the diclofenac, some hair growth supplements, and using a gua sha stone pretty vigorously.

I'm gonna add MSM into my routine to thicken the vellus hair, topical and oral. Also saw palmetto topical and oral.

I have experienced all that you say with taurine, but regardless of the dose, I'll get the same side effects. You're fortunate, and like most who report on their experience, that it is beneficial in multiple ways.

Glad to hear the diclofenac is doing well. I have MSM on my long lists of things, but once again I've only gotten sides from that in the past.

@wester130 0.5mm is supposed to be better. Why 2.5mm? sounds painful 😂 I could barely tolerate 2mm

@sushi_is_cringe i don't know, I think minoxidil causes endless shedding because the body rejects, but rosemary does not

@wester130 Minoxidil does not cause endless shedding. Neither does rosemary. Rosemary is superior to peppermint for regrowth.
