Anyone here take glycine instead of gelatin? I've seen some threads on the old forum about it but have never dug deeper than that. If you do take glycine, how much do you take on a regular basis?

Probably wouldn't hurt to take both if you wanted. I take 1-3g glycine around 4 nights per week. Makes for great dreams.

I supplemented 5g daily glycine for awhile, but saw more benefits incorporating 50g of daily beef gelatin in the diet.

I believe gelatin has other beneficial amino acids than just glycine.

@Quantification 50g of gelatin should have 10+ grams of glycine, I also find gelatin easier and cheaper to source with the same effect.
My only concern is the hypoglycemia possible after taking a lot of protein at once.
