I got pretty fat in 2023 due to typical misguided peating (drinking whole milk, eating ice cream and 80/20 ground beef all the time). Since then I lost a good amount of weight with increased carb intake, low fat, and Mentzer style training (high volume, 1 set to failure). I also bike frequently and do stairmaster in the gym for cardio.

Ive recently plateau’d around 225 on the scale and cant seem to get it to budge. I’m 6’2 with a pretty athletic build. My goal is to hit 215 by this summer, but I’m starting to think the muscle gain is counterbalancing the weight loss, since clothes do fit better, people notice my improved physique etc.

      Typical diet:
Breakfast - fresh squeezed orange juice, 2 eggs, non fat yogurt with fresh raspberries and blackberries with raw honey
Lunch: some kind of protein bowl with rice and vegetables (generally low fat) usually followed by a large raw carrot
Dinner: 90/10 lean ground beef, white rice, and either zucchini cooked in olive oil or sautéed spinach

Supplements: Aspirin, Thiamine, L-Thea nine, Vitamin E, Glycine

Open to any suggestions on diet changes or workout adjustments. Generally thinking that daily stressors (work, relationships) could be impeding my progress.

@raytreats I have gotten very lean in the past from doing stair master 3-5x/Wk, 20 minutes each session, about 400 calories burned each session (very intense)

@jamezb46 yeah I typically will do 150-250 flights on stairmaster around speed 10 after I lift, usually around 500 calories. Started to think that maybe it’s raising cortisol and making weight loss harder? Maybe I’m overthinking

Ready to change the order and the type of carbs to improve insulinemic response?

I can develop if interested. Not less but different.

@raytreats so you mention that muscle gains are outweighing the fat loss? Are you really trying to cut scale weight or just fat?

If you are trying to cut just fat then you have a lot of options because more muscle will consume more fat at rest and during light exercise like walks. So if you want to build more muscle, you can choose from:

              • more sugar/protein
              • P5P
              • D3
              • 6 keto p4
              • pansterone/kuinone
              • progesterone
              • testosterone
              • and more, this is just a short list

@engineer Thank you. I honestly have not delved into ordering any IdeaLabs products yet. If I were to purchase a product I would probably want it to assist with lowering cortisol
