I never have a good sleep and I'm always tired during the day.
-
@BearWithMe I sleep on both my right and left side. Because I have a deviated septum, I have to breathe through my mouth during the night. The strange thing is that around 8 hours of sleep used to be enough for me. As my thyroid function got worse, my sleep seemed to deteriorate as well.
My main problem is that carbohydrates don't seem to do anything for me, even when I take them with B1 and B3. If I can't properly oxidize glucose, my thyroid function probably won't improve either, but I just can't seem to get my body to use glucose efficiently. I'm planning to try a higher dose of B1, and if that doesn't help, I'm considering trying 160+ mg of aspirin. All the sugar I take are turning into lactic acid and I'm probably burning fat instead of sugar.
-
@ridethelightning You could have 0 pufa in your body and all that honey will turn into lactic acid anyway with that diet, milk and gelatin alone can not sustain any substantial amount of honey, milk alone can hardly be self sustaining food specifically if you begin with subpar nutrients reserves. Deviated septum does not necessary lead to mouth breathing, nose congestion can lead to it, a person can have deviated septum and still great nose breathing.
B1 effects can depend on other elements, such as C, manganese, K1
Your teeths state can tell alot:

do your teeths feel strong or sensitive, white opaque or yellower more translucent, some degree of hard dental plaque or none? Can you expend on your skin symptoms?

My daughter had this. It turned out she had a very bad case of a divided septum. At night she actually woke up multiple times and her oxygen dropped significantly. She however wasn't aware of it since she thought she slept deeply.
After a sleep study this was confirmed.
She is still in the process of deciding what to do. Either surgery of the septum or one of those sleep machines. Don't know what they're officially called.
She was always exhausted probably due to poor sleep. -
@happyhanneke Same here. It's pretty common, and a lot of people say the surgery is life-changing. I think it may have messed up my thyroid as well, especially when combined with a high PUFA intake. Mouth breathing at night is probably causing low CO₂, so I tried baking soda, but it didn't make any difference. Does eating carbs before bed help her sleep? Or is she unable to oxidize glucose properly, just like me? I'm going to try a higher dose of B1, and if that doesn't work, I'll probably try aspirin or thyroid supplements.

@user1 Almost all of my back teeth have tiny cavities, but they're still pretty small for now. I'm in my mid 20s.

Do you usually need a leak when you get out of bed or later? And do you remember your dreams?

i suggest making an inverse post:
“I always have a good sleep and am always energized during the day”

@ridethelightning do you have some degree of dental hard plaque/tartar, behind your 2 bottom front teeths per exemple? Tiny cavities started with "ray peat diet" or you already had it prior?

I could do a mediocre and sometimes. That's a good mantra though.

ThinPicking no

@user1 No i already had them. I don't have tartar or anything

@ridethelightning
I"m not sure of these things. She does also have a thyroid issue and is taking cynomel. This improved her well being and her hair loss reversed.
She's still in the process of figuring out what the best step would be with the deviated septum. The sleep study is still pending. Maybe she will chose surgery but it's not her first choice. -
@happyhanneke Is she scared of surgery? I heard that it's a simple one.

@ThinPicking I've seen you speak of osmolarity I believe before. Please can you expand on water and teeth? I am in fairly good health but to tell the truth my teeth are awful: broken and full of holes.
I always relate it to drinking acidic drinks most hours of the day and neglecting to rinse my mouth afterwards.

@ridethelightning
No not really she just wants to make a good decision. -

Your bones are too but teeth are under their own special assault. There's 3 fluids involved and 3 membranes. They all have circadian and infradian tides, and they're aiming for particular compositions and concentrations.
Pick a rabbit hole.

I think there's a remarkable capacity for healing them, in you. Things could get a bit weird on the way to really engaging this.

Dog hanging with me had 2 big cavities, big holes, i started giving him one can of sardine a day recently and seemingly one of the holes almost fully filled in and there is a tiny hole left. Can you expend on your diet, and wich supps have you tryed such as k2 and what impact it had? Manganese can be goated for teeths hardness, whiteness and opacity, cavities, hard dental plaque. If you heavy on sugar, dairy, even more so
