@Mulloch94 My guess from a relatively uneducated person in the field is how vitamin E helps with PUFA depletion, and some fat stores become more accessible thanks to it. With this is coupled, for vit E deficient people -which I would venture is most of us are because it mostly comes from nuts in its natural form- an increase in metabolism and thus calorie expenditure.

RE: Impact of Clothing on Health
@CO3 Thanks for the tips ! Had no idea about the belt and its effects.
I have been doing the same other things for the past years and I can say it has improved my health significantly, most notably regarding circulation. I used to have very cold feet and now they are never cold. One last effect, and perhaps one of the most underrated effect of walking 90+% of the time in barefoot shoes, is the balance that is developed. I don't fall, I don't trip.
A small thing to add re-barefoot shoes compagnies, there are multiple ones out there but if you are in Europe, Mukishoes ( https://mukishoes.com) is a brand that is cheaper than vivo barefoot and does the job, while still being quite discrete for barefoot shoes (they have also been holding very well after a full year of intense use, something I can't say about my vivo sadly).
Thanks for the tip regarding belts !

RE: The ethics of having children while in sub-standard metabolic condition
@DonkeyDude Why would they hate you ? I mean outside of the teen phase where it's 'cool' to hate your parents ?

RE: Resolved lifelong problem with dandruff
Thanks for sharing.
I have had slight scalp irritation issues, they went away when I stopped using shampoo and use an egg every 5 ish days roughly. I don't overthink it and use the egg exactly like I would a shampoo (don't leave it on for minutes or whatever is supposed to work according to online).
I also suggest buying a good brush (made with boar hair), it makes your hair more shinny by spreading the oil.
NGL can't wait to try BLOO (not available where I live) just to SCALPMAX and have the most luscious hair in the western hemisphere.

RE: The ethics of having children while in sub-standard metabolic condition
@DonkeyDude As for panic attacks, cleaning your house etc... You can do something about it, even if minor, and try to compound the results with time, over a year or two. This isn't to say that it is your fault if it is hard for you to get out of this tough situation.
I think, if you haven't, you should read Ray Peat's article on Learned Helplessness ( https://raypeat2.com/articles/articles/dark-side-of-stress-learned-helplessness.shtml ) because you may recognize patterns about this deadly behavior.
Maybe start by asking yourself practical questions :
- Do you WANT a child ? (it seems that you do from this post)
- Are you ready to provide a correct environment for this child ?
- If not, why ? As in in practice. Quality of life ? Job? Personal problems? What could you do to overcome these obstacles ? How long do you think it would take ? etc
While it may be overwhelming to face these questions, it may provide you with a few small things to improve about your situation, making you comfortable enough to do you what you want to do.
I hope I'm not sounding condescending, and what I want to stress is that you have more agency that you may think and that is a good thing.

RE: The ethics of having children while in sub-standard metabolic condition
@DonkeyDude I'm just some dude on the internet so take my advice or don't. I don't really know what you mean by so messed up. If your original post about IQs and such is correct it would seem your are not at all somebody who shouldn't have children. Maybe I'm being idealist but a child is born out of love, questions about responsibility etc are good to ponder before but should not preclude you from being a father if that is what you want to do. In general, taking yourself out of the gene pool voluntarily when you have a wife seems extreme.

RE: The ethics of having children while in sub-standard metabolic condition
@DonkeyDude While I am a bit younger than you I have also thought about this question. Money comes and goes so shouldn't be taken into consideration unless you are literally begging to survive. In general, any knowledge if useful should not preclude us to act but only inform us on how to act. Being Peaty and knowing about early development shouldn't stop you from having children, on the contrary, as some of the problems of childhood that will arise may be solved with lesser damaging ways. You have no ethical obligations to be in the 100% best metabolic shape of your life, just do your best, you have good tools at your disposal.

RE: Kuinone Suggestions
@waywardcloud I don't really understand why topical K2 would be useful vs just orally, as its main use is helping the liver and it seems to me orally it is much faster to get there. I'm sure there is a good reason but I don't know. Have you tried orally ?
