@dapose I will have to incorporate that. Thanks.

RE: How Much Incandescent Red Light Exposure?
@dapose I have lots of screens (some with blue light blocking settings turned on) as well as a string of incandescent bulbs overhead. I recently did a 4 stage cortisol+dhea test (morning, afternoon, evening, night) but am awaiting the results. I worry that my body thinks its staring at the sunset all day but that could be mitigated by the blue light sources I am surrounded by. I think the cortisol tests should be illuminating...

How Much Incandescent Red Light Exposure?
Hi all,
I've been using a cheap incandescent red light recently while working from home (on computer all day). It has made a huge difference in mitigating afternoon fatigue. In fact, it has gotten to the point where the idea of turning it off during the workday is anxiety-inducing.
Do I need to be careful with exposing myself to incandescent red light for 8-10 hours a day? I am really having no noticeable ill effects thus far, but I worry that it could be depleting something or the other to make me feel this much better. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on their experiences / research on the topic with incandescent light.

RE: Low androsterone, androstenedione, estradiol, DHT, cortisol, DHEA. How do I fix these?
@cs3000 What's weird is that I don't notice any symptoms. Maybe the progesterone is saving me from symptoms that I otherwise couldn't help but notice.
Thanks for your reply. -
RE: Low androsterone, androstenedione, estradiol, DHT, cortisol, DHEA. How do I fix these?
@cs3000 Thanks. I think DHEA and pregnenolone make sense. I will definitely get my thyroid checked in the near future. I currently supplement Estroban (containing ADEK) and B vitamins.
I have also stopped the progesterone. I think it may be combatting the androgens. The problem is I like it so much – almost instantly relives tension headaches and helps me relax. I guess that's a sign that I need to address the underlying issues. -
Low androsterone, androstenedione, estradiol, DHT, cortisol, DHEA. How do I fix these?
Hi all,
I recently got a tissue analysis of my steroid levels and am quite shocked to see the results.
Many of my androgens (androsterone, DHT, epitestosterone) are below detection limits, while my androstenedione, DHEA, cortisol, and estradiol are quite low.
I supplement progesterone (5-10mg) every so often, so my progesterone levels were quite high. It seems my tissues are holding on to as much as they can.
Despite my testosterone being normal and estradiol being low, the ratios of androgens to estrogens are low enough to suggest estrogen dominance. Moreover, the ratio of androstenedione to DHEA (low) suggests 3-beta HSD inactivity.
I cannot find anything on the internet on how to correct these issues. Where would you start?

@noodlecat59 This is from toenail clippings. I did not get the mineral analysis done.

Idealabs Steroid Analysis Results: Progesterone combats estradiol and cortisol in the tissues.
Hi all,
My steroid analysis from Idealabs recently came back, and I am a bit concerned about the low levels of androgens (male in early 20s). I may have overdone it a bit with the progesterone (progestene) supplementation -- roughly 10-15 mg applied topically to the forehead roughly every other day. I suppose the stuff really works at liberating tissue estrogens and combating cortisol; however, I think it may be affecting my androgen production/metabolism.
Despite having low levels of estradiol and normal levels of testosterone, the lack of other androgens suggests estrogen dominance (Androgens/E1+E2+E3 < 100). The lack of androstenedione to DHEA suggests low 3-beta HSD activity (even though the DHEA is low as well!).
Other than dialing back the progesterone, could I ask you all for suggestions on correcting these imbalances? I am thinking a modest dose of DHEA (~5mg) may help.
I really have no obvious symptoms to speak of with respect to these imbalances.
