During my time 'Peating' I have been in what I would call a "high energy state" many times but I'd say like 95% of these times pale in comparison to the 5% where I feel absolutely amazing and like a higher power has suddenly blessed me with immense health. I recall someone saying that Ray once said having good thyroid function means you can "think the way you want to about different things" and so I'd categorize a healthy high energy state in this way; feeling great and being able to think in new ways you hadn't previously. In work environments, you will see people who seem to have abundant energy and are able to carry out their work very quickly. But if you look a little closer, you might see that the majority of these people are running completely on stress and if there is any extended gaps in the flow of their busy-ness they become completely miserable.

Language exposure aka language acquisition via input. Look it up, there’s been studies on this. It’s normally how children/babies pick up languages but adults can do it too.

I'm pleased to see this purposeful Peat-inspired competition setup. I know not everyone on this board appreciates the pro-social benefits of competition, but I do. I hope you get lots of entries and we can all benefit from reading insights generated on this thread. @LinDaiyu , Do I remember from RPF that you're New York City based or from my home state of Iowa? Good to see Iowa get a mention and, like yerrag, was keen to learn more about the tech/devices you listed as rewards!

@aeblyve Yeah. There does seem to be still too much serotonin and perhaps a smidge of PTSD. Although I appreciate your need to make a living and ambition in your field. Hmmm. How to find a balance. With regards to being solicited for money, I had to do something about that too. Panhandlers are not that aggressive in NYC, where we were living. They are a little more far gone and you can just walk passed them and they don't persist. When we moved to downtown Chicago, I was stunned at how aggressive and persistent the panhandlers and people with clipboards were. 1) I changed my body composition with aikido. That postural change made them either skip over me or not persist. 2) I know this sounds mean, but this is the other extremely effective thing I learned to do to squelch them. As soon as they start their first syllable, I say, "can't help ya out" while keep moving. And don't look back. Sometimes you hear them say, "Geez", or "your shit don't stink" or "what a bitch." But mostly they just skip to the next person. If you walk in a lupine manner and say "can't help ya out" without skipping a beat in your pace, you will not be solicited. I would recommend buying Diamant from idealabs.com. While sitting at your computer, you can rub in a few drops on your temple or jugular. Wow. Then go for a walk and see all the beautiful colors. Regardless of your schedule, you simply have to take time to walk in the sunshine. Imagine you have a dog that needs walk. You can afford to take several 5 minute walks a day. Go get a coffee. Say hello to shop owners.

Bioenergetics is the future, and it could be potentially disastrous if we were to disregard the dangers of a runaway greenhouse effect. If anyone could provide more insight into what Peat's thoughts might be please comment. The evidence in favor of the greenhouse effect is too strong to disregard it so easily. There is an abundant evidence for anthrogenic global warming- it's one of the most believable and obvious phenomenon regarding humans. People are correct when they say that increasing the CO2 in the air will increase plant activity and thereby count as a boost to the planet's metabolism. However, this ignores that metabolism is not just food but water and micronutrients, as well. When we do "real world" studies replicating the effect of increased global CO2 on normal plants(ie without the careful grooming of a greenhouse attendant), then we see very different results than greenhouse studies. Significantly lower production than in a greenhouse(still higher than non-added CO2), decreased protein, decreased minerals, and increased production of tannins and, in plants that produce cyanide, more cyanide. Also, the effect of increasing plant growth outside of careful attendance results in soil breakdown, which furthers the loss of nutrients. How could it be that there was no runaway greenhouse effect during the Carboniferous? The CO2 during Carboniferous was higher than present day but was itself a significant decrease from previous eras and was decreasing throughout the Carboniferous. It's also worth noting that the Carboniferous is considered to have had a higher avg. global temperature than today until it cooled to about the temperature we have now. This cooling was coupled with increased aridification in areas(higher temps increase humidity and rainfall, etc. from that) and is the reason why there was mass flora and fauna die-off. The Earth is currently on a galactic trajectory that leads us to receive increasing levels of gamma radiation from the galactic center. The effect is likely small, but it is possible that over a long time period we could see greater cloud density and thus greater cooling of the Earth's surface. Possibly. We will need to alter how we relate to agriculture and the planet. I'm personally not too worried about CO2 as much as I'm worried about land policy, pollution, and the social consequences of food scarcity, land degradation, etc.
